My complaints are all related to connecting them to other platforms to simultaneously edit video on fast network storage, ingest video files, and distribute AI renders to Windows RTX boxes. OS fixes.

@twid @technoHimbo I’ve accepted that we’re never gonna see another Mac Pro, PCIE slots or rack-mounted units.

But at least implement some OS fixes that would allow small creative shops, producers, and people running local AI with heavy rendering loads to take better advantage of their hardware.

I’m a principal in a media firm with Macs and Windows and Linux servers on 25Gb fiber.

If I could wave a magic wand:

1. Upgrade SMB to 3.1 on server-side Mac connections.

2. Fix CPU bottlenecking on networking.

3. Give us PCIE slots or open up MLX for Networking.
