@Sally_Latham_ Harsh but fair reviews are often written in response to good work. The key thing, really, is to (try to!) reflect constructively on what you can do to improve a piece of work.
@AnneliJefferson @KimptonNye One reason is CE-ers seem to focus on Haslanger-style projects, which are presented as "Change semantic meanings for social justice!" (I also have a paper on that.)
I think critics are more concerned by your worry. Max Deutsch gets close to it in recent work.
