Everyone in the industry knows these loans are predatory. My 1st question is how does the son of a big leaguer get caught up signing this agreement and second why does a big leaguers son need this loan? I get why and how the kid from Boca Chica gets involved….
Because Indiana basketball is a C-tier program who’s only made the tournament twice in the last 10 years…
I’m a lifelong Hoosier, but Archie signaled we were a b-tier program, and we’ve went downhill since then.
#iubb has the money to get anyone. why are we going after fucking Adam Olsen when there are Indiana natives like Flory Bidunga, Jalan Haralson, and Markus Burton, which fit all 3 of our needs? please surprise me and make me smile DeVries.
All non-playoff teams have equal lottery odds.
Play-in teams 7-10 get slight lottery odds bumps (encourage teams to push for the play in)
Incentivize teams to be ok developing into the middle (7-10) that’s really the one place you don’t want to be right now.
Adam Silver admits tanking is worst this year than previous seasons but speaks on the caveats that the teams face:
“It’s not what the fans what although my caveat is and teams are in a difficult place because many of you have written the worst place to be is a middle of the road team and either be great or be bad, because that will help you with the draft”
I don't say this lightly, but this biz is incredible. Here's why:
- 3 baseball fields in the middle of nowhere that PRINT CASH.
- Teams pay $1k to play & parents pay $20 to park
- $16 margaritas
- $13k/night to rent out
- 320 acres
- Ever hear of Graford, TX? Population 706? Of course not! That's because it's right next to POSSUM KINGDOM LAKE.
(These are all real things.)
Did your game get rained out? Sorry, no refunds, but you're welcome to swim in our pool or eat in our restaurant or drink our $16 margs.
Or play some disc golf, or shoot some birds, or hey, get married while you're here.
One stop shop.
I love everything about this whole setup.
The founder bought the property in 2005 and it was nothing more than a run down horse barn.
Today it's a thriving 8 figure destination that draws families from all over Texas.
"If you build it they will come?" Well, not usually, but in this case, yes, actually.
Only in Texas...
@SMB_Attorney Our malpractice insurance requires us to wait until SOL has ran on a malpractice claim and in family law, it’s rarely ever “worth it” because we would drop a CL before it’s a significant amount of money owed.
Drive responding to pick 6 at Oregon
Game-winning drive in Happy Valley
Bomb to Becker on 3rd down against OSU
… But I didn’t really believe it until the
2nd quarter dominance against Alabama
Yes, but the truth about the US justice system is money is power. NCAA still has more resources than Plaintiffs in the cases. The NCAA is concerned about antitrust issues that will end them. That’s why they’re lobbying Congress, they want an Antitrust exemption like baseball has
Indiana had the all time lowest winning percentage in cfb history when Curt Cignetti arrived. When he got on the mic at Assembly Hall and started saying everyone in the B1G sucked, I thought they’d hired a crazy man.
Nope.
THIS is crazy. Incredible turnaround. Salute Hoosiers
Or… move to Florida, where an August-born child can choose to start the following grade level.
(Also, making big life decisions for children based on sports is stupid.)
Been saying it for years….
A’s to Vegas (Before it actually happened)
Rays to Charlotte or Nashville
Expansion to Charlotte or Nashville + Western City (Portland/Vancouver have always been my prediction). Could see Montreal getting the last team as well.
Rob Manfred basically just said that expansion teams are coming and division re-alignment for easier travel and better TV
This has kinda been known but we’re saying that on national TV….that usually means like a 2 to 3 year plan to get going on that?
