After firing a 66 and vaulting into solo 2nd at The Open, tournament officials are meeting with LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau about a potential rules violation at the 5th hole that would potentially result in a 2 stroke penalty.
Bryson DeChambeau “I’m just not going to play tomorrow”
Watching the World Cup has me asking questions. Do Europeans get issued 8 weeks of vacation, unlimited airline miles, and a trust fund at birth? Because every match I turn on there are 40,000 fans following their team to a different state or country on a Tuesday afternoon while Americans are hiding in a work bathroom checking scores.
For those responding angrily to this post, it isn’t about our city. It’s about the matchup between Algeria and Austria on Saturday, a matchup in which both teams are going to advance to the Round of 32 but the winner actually gets the tougher draw. It’s a call back.
As it stacks out right now, the US likely plays Bosnia, New Zealand, Uruguay as their pathway to the Round of 8.
Compare that to this pod of death (as it sits right now)...there's not one team in that group of 8 I think I'd rather face than Bosnia, New Zealand, or Uruguay. 7/8 teams in that branch of the knockout stage (exception Ivory Coast at #30) is ranked higher than the #2 team in the US' group of 8 (Uruguay #18).
