Last night I shadow-dropped The God Engine Omnibus, compiling the entire trilogy, with new cover art and an exclusive world-building essay on the philosophy behind the series. Available in paperback and ebook, it's cheaper than buying each book! ❤️ if you think the cover is 🔥

@Lyons_Pen I don't believe I've ever described my characters beyond *maybe* their hair color if it was distinctive from other characters, or a scar. Books are about creating your own mental image and putting yourself in that place. No need to over-describe, let the reader work.
@Lyons_Pen Totally! I think the hardest thing to develop is the eye for style. It took me many years of fiddling with photoshop/affinity/canva and millions of fonts to now be able to do decent titles and covers on my own, using stock photos to their fullest possibilities.
Getting your own copies of your latest book never gets old. It's like Christmas in April, and it's no April's Fool's joke! Look at this beauty *says in proud papa voice while people ugh at him vigorously*
(no audio because my kids kept shouting in the background)

Great, so 3 of my books got fed into Meta's LLama AI without my consent. And unlike the OpenAI / Ghibli fiasco (they just removed the ability to create Ghibli-inspired images), authors have little recourse. Feeling hopeless today.
I just did a thing and created my own merch store for people who love my books. Now millions of people(?) can get my swag :P. Also, my Omnibus edition is really f*cking pretty if I may say so myself, and I'm definitely gonna. Clicky thing below👇
@mikesroberti I might help out with cover theory and art unless you have an actual artist helping out :P . I do all my lettering and like half of my covers.
