VALE Professor Peter Buckskin
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of former Co-Chair of Reconciliation SA, Professor Peter Buckskin. Our thoughts are with his family, loved ones, friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.
Honour to co-host the G’DAY USA Business Roundtable, with leaders in tech, sports, infrastructure & creative sectors to maximise the business, technology, cultural, & economic opportunities around @FIFAWorldCup, @LA28@Brisbane_2032 & the @NFL in AUS!
Delighted to join @ForumSEC and @TC_BMDT to open "Longitude, Latitude, Solitude" by 🇦🇺 photo‑pilot Andy Vukosav - capturing the beauty and fragility of Australia’s landscapes.
Public service is never a solo endeavour. This recognition belongs equally to the many dedicated colleagues, public servants, community leaders, and volunteers I have had the privilege to work alongside. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🇦🇺🇦🇺 https://t.co/5fSn7J6HA2
Deeply saddened by the passing of our good friend Katie Allen.
Brave, bright and beautiful, Katie was special, a cut above the rest.
She was a world leader in medical research who I first met through my sister, a fellow paediatrician.
Later it would be a privilege to be Parliamentary neighbours in adjoining electorates.
She was a wonderful, hard working local member for Higgins and a big contributor in Canberra, where her deep care for others drove every position she took.
She was principled and strong, always determined to make a difference, and she did. She will be hugely missed.
Sending all our love to Malcolm, Monty, Jemima, Arabella and Archie. 💔
Welcome to Mr. Jeremy Cornforth, the new U.S. Consul General in Sydney! Visiting Australia for the first time, he’s eager to explore the country, embrace Aussie culture, connect with local communities, and deepen the U.S.–Australia partnership.

We'd like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the speakers, attendees, and all who made this such a successful event! Stay tuned for future insights from the Dialogue from the ASPI USA team.
Some key takeaways:
1⃣We need to define deterrence to drive capability.
2⃣Workforce capacity is existential.
3⃣What is Pillar 2 actually trying to solve?
4⃣Pillar 2 needs more than technology—it needs political will.
5⃣Pillar 2 is the strategic lever AUKUS needs now.
On 19 May, ASPI USA was delighted to host the 4th annual AUKUS Dialogue in DC—bringing together MPs, Congressional staff, industry leaders, academics, and government officials for a half-day conference filled with lively discussion on moving AUKUS Pillars 1 and 2 forward 🧵
@leigh_whicker has spent an incredible two days in the US on the 4th Annual @Pyne_Partners#AUKUS Program, with our lobbyist Baker Donelson. It was great to connect with @Christ65806 and @marshall_steven, President of the American Australian Association.

Jennifer Cashmore was a trailblazer, a liberal & a genuine contributor to South Australia.
In Jennifer we celebrate the life of a pioneering woman, MP & minister with a commitment to service.
Leaving her mark on SA & the Liberal Party, we should all wish for many more like her.
Jennifer Cashmore was a South Australian trailblazer, a terrific servant of our state, and a wonderful, kind woman.
As my predecessor in the seat of Morialta (then called Coles), she remains fondly remembered in our local community.
