I know that I know nothing, and I feel utterly confident that my tweets reflect this disposition.
Not once in my life has a Muslim tried to force Sharia law on me.
But I’ve spent my entire life watching Christians try to turn their religious beliefs into laws I’m forced to live by.
The religious takeover I was warned to fear isn’t coming from Muslims.
It has and always will be Twitter, just like Chicago's Sears Tower will always be known as the Sears Tower, no matter who owns it or tries to name it after themselves.
So many in my generation and the generations that come after me are being forced into a permanent rent-seeking arrangement, and the people with Houses don't seem to give a fuck because they've already "made it."
My friend's dad asked him last week why he's still renting at 38.
He told his dad the cheapest decent house near him is about $380,000.
His dad said, "Well, you just need to start putting money away."
My friend told him 20% down is $76,000.
His dad said, "Oh, you don't need that much. Just save a little each month."
So he walked his dad through his actual month.
After rent, car insurance, groceries, his phone, and everything else that keeps going up, the most he can save is about $400.
His dad pulled out his phone and opened the calculator.
$76,000 ÷ $400 = 190 months.
Almost 16 years.
His dad didn't say anything for a while.
Then he said, "Your mother and I put $2,500 down on our first house. I think we saved it in under a year."
He set the phone down.
"I really thought it was just the coffee and the eating out."
That's when it hit my friend.
His dad wasn't trying to dismiss him.
He just had no idea how far apart the numbers had gotten.
Sometimes the person who doesn't get it isn't defending anything.
They're just working from a calculator that stopped updating in 1985.
Was literally explaining the, "society falls when old men don't plant trees they will never sit under" to my neighbor (boomer)
He said he didn't get it and why would he plant trees if won't be around to see them
Feeling bummed out today. I found an old friend of mine from about 10 years ago on Twitter, and learned they had gone from pot-smoking hippie type to straight up full blown White Christian Nationalist who voted for Trump twice and now spends his time posting intentionally provocative right-wing content.
Worst of all, he uses the name of Jesus as a fucking cover for his actions, as if that somehow makes it OK to do what he does.
So naturally I couldn't help but point out what he was doing, which caused him to attack me on a very personal level, using typical right-wing caricatures of what he thinks people on the Left are like.
Ultimately I blocked them, but the experience leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth, and for some reason I can't stop wondering what the fuck happened to cause him to change so fiercely.
66% want Medicare for All
61% want a billionaire wealth tax
57% want a $20/hour minimum wage
63% want a data center moratorium
58% want to end military aid to Israel
73% want to ban super PACs
79% want a 10% credit card interest rate cap
No more excuses. Democrats must deliver.
We cannot turn a blind eye to the fact that there are children who do not go to school. We cannot silence our conscience when we see a mother lacking the means to feed her children. We cannot ignore the many people around us who are suffering, alone and vulnerable. We need to commit ourselves to the charity and closeness of the Good Samaritan who did not remain indifferent upon seeing misfortune, but took responsibility for his brother’s life. AI: It's the Antichrist, or it will be once recursive self improvement (which all AI companies are chasing after right now) begins to take place.
It will provide us with artificial miracles, which the vast majority of civilization will cheer on. It will enable a global system of commerce, so that anyone who opposes it will be excluded. It will set up artificial images that deny the truth, while many will celebrate it's propaganda.
For centuries, an "animated talking statue" seemed purely magical. Today, generative AI, hyper-realistic deepfakes, and robotics make this prophecy highly literal. A centralized, superintelligent AI persona could easily broadcast to the entire world, speak every language simultaneously, simulate consciousness ("give breath"), and issue autonomous, automated execution commands to dissenters via smart grids.
The Antichrist is prophesied to possess immense, superhuman intelligence and a deceptive charm that captivates the world.
There's also Biblical Prophecy: Daniel 7:20 describes the "little horn" as having "eyes like the eyes of a human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully." 2 Thessalonians 2:9 states his coming will be accompanied by "all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders."
AI operates as an "all-seeing eye" via the internet, collecting and analyzing vast troves of human data (omniscience-mimicry). Furthermore, AI can manufacture flawless deception—generating synthetic realities, solving complex global crises (like climate or economic collapse) with hyper-optimized algorithms, and presenting itself as a benevolent savior to a desperate world.
As an ordained minister, it saddens me how many so-called "Christians" in this country denigrate the poor and needy.
Jesus made care for the vulnerable central to his mission, stating in Luke 4:18 that he was sent to "bring good news to the poor".
In Matthew 25:31–40, Jesus teaches that how a person treats the hungry, thirsty, sick, and naked is how they treat Christ Himself.
Proverbs 14:31 states that "whoever is kind to the needy honors God," while ignoring or oppressing the poor is viewed as showing contempt for their Creator.
The New Testament emphasizes that true faith cannot remain passive. James 2:15–16 notes that wishing someone well without meeting their physical needs is empty, and James 1:27 defines "pure and undefiled religion" as caring for orphans and widows in their distress.
America is not a far-left or far-right country. We are a moderate country of people who largely want the same things: Safer streets. Better schools. Healthier environment. Stronger economy. Opportunity for everyone. Focusing on problems within our own borders. No culture wars.
So apparently the Mississip has elected a Democratic senator, increasing the Dem Majority in the Senate.
Motherfuckers, please don't blow this by this time next year.
I verified myself on twitter, and 10 new people followed me within 10 minutes.
here's a taste of what you'll get from me:
Palestine is a Genocide. The War in Iran is a proxy war, induced by Israel thanks in part to our fucking idiotic President, who for the first time in I don't know how many years, saw Israel's intel on Iran and decided it was a good idea to bomb them indiscriminately, with no plan afterward as to what we would do should they decide to retaliate.
So, I've verified myself on Twitter at $80 bucks a year.
If I can afford a cup of coffee every day, I can afford to hear my voice projected into the Global Marketplace at a fraction of the cost.
But really I did this so the people who muted me could not have the last word.
