@RepGaramendi@CongressionalP9 Temporary (the T in TPS) was supposed to be 18 months. It turned into 16 years and they're still foreign nationals. Who do you really represent?
@JohnKasich Dawg. It's been 16 years. Why haven't they become American citizens by now? They are still foreign nationals if they haven't become naturalized citizens (it's not that difficult). It's time. Y'know- what temporary stands for.
@FrankPallone Both Haitian and Syrian nationals have had over 10 years to become American citizens thanks to TPS extensions past the intended 18 months. The pathway has always been there. They chose not to walk it.
@JoAnneSimonBK52 Haitians received TPS in 2010 and Syrians in 2012. By my calculations, that's 16 and 14 years, respectively, that foreign nationals have gotten to live in the United States. If they wanted to become US citizens any time in that 14-16 years they could have. It's time to go home.
@RepDWStweets Tell us, Einstein- what does the "T" in TPS stand for? Once you have that figured out, can you look up the definition and recite it to the rest of the class?
