Any given day, I would trust a correspondent on the ground over Studio-BASED rabble rousers who would take a side based on compromised Manipur Police reports.
Is the sudden interest & ample air time given to Manipur a boon or a bane?
The response given by a Kuki Village Volunteer on the use of drone to attack Meiteis took a hilarious turn when he said, "Hum kaha drone bombs afford karpayega, surveillance drone bhi muskil se Kharid paya hain hum"
Translation: Bombing Meiteis using drone Bombs is something we can't afford when we struggle to procure even cheap surveillance drones.
In his typical honest, tribal Kuki style, he debunked the whole hullabaloo over drone bombings & missiles. Cute but unvarnished, unadulterated truth.
How do you use something you can't afford whether it's for war or business?
This reminds us of Clinton's famous line: It's economics, Stupid.
Pertinent questions that need to be answered:
1. Did the shrapnel pieces have forensics to prove that it came from Kukizo side or could it be staged by those claiming it?
If proven, we stand for descalation & we will condemn it. Enough baseless maligning of kukis has taken roots in Manipur meitei society that further empty accusations is totally frivolous even to outsiders.
2. WHY & how did the Deep state, right-wing media houses who have overlooked Manipur suddenly blew the lid on unpredented escalation of violence in Manipur just a day after Kukizo held the largest protest demanding probe into #BirenAudioLeak? The tapes implicates CM of Manipur as the composer & conductor of the "state sponsored ethnic violence against Kukis Orchestra"
3. Isn't the place where the missiles have been reported to land i.e. the First CM of Manipur, M. koireng's Courtyard near INA memorial too convenient?
The emotional stimuli is heightened by showing an old RK man lying in a pool of blood while performing Puja. This had to be reported as a Hindu man killed by Christian missile to play to the emotions of the right-wing ecosystem. Proper probe needs to be carried out before the sensalisation began. But No, after the intended aim of tarnishing Kukizo image is done & attention is diverted from Biren Tapes; All changasi! All is well. We demand a probe into the tapes & the media blitzkrieg.
4. Is the choice of a woman & a child as victims of the supposed drone bombing deliberate?
Universally, sympathy & raw emotions are evoked when victims fall within this category. While my heart goes out to the families of the deceased, the bullet like wounds suffered by the deceased woman doesn't support the drone bomb theory & add to that the confirmation coming from Manipur police is simply rich & hard to digest with their partisan role exhibited from May 3, 2023 till date.
@republic @ArnabGoswamiRTv must have amassed enough to afford a ground Zero correspondent, why not sent one before engaging in shameful manipulation of Palestinian missiles as that of Manipur?
Media has a huge responsibility. Either you do reportage responsibly or stay away.
X handles must also desist from blind posting.
Give Truth a chance.
Let us not play with fire at the risk of the life of our defenders.
Escalation must be stopped. The first signs of escalation are here on X & media, this must be curbed to give space for descalation & dialogue.
