I’m deeply honoured and humbled to be recognized by my peers as Parliamentarian of the Year. Since I was first elected nearly 25 years ago, I’ve had the chance to serve in many roles - each one reminding me of how fortunate I am to do this work.
To my fellow parliamentarians, it’s a privilege to serve alongside dedicated individuals like you everyday.
To the people of Beauséjour, thank you for your continued trust - none of this would be possible without it.
Canada’s newest trade agreement is a game changer.
With this deal, 95% of our exports to Indonesia will be more competitive in their economy. President @prabowo and Canada are unlocking huge economic opportunities for our workers, and greater prosperity for both our nations.
In partnership with @LKYSch, APF Canada will be co-hosting a public lecture in #Singapore featuring guest speaker The Hon. @mary_ng, on how #Asian businesses can leverage #Canada’s stable economic trading framework to co-invest in business infrastructure

We have to diversify our trade partnerships and build stronger trading relationships within our own country.
To do that, we’ll invest big in the infrastructure that gets Canadian goods to market — by air, rail, road, and sea.
Canada is a trading nation. That doesn’t happen without Canadian workers.
In this time of crisis, we will protect our workers, fight U.S. tariffs, and build a stronger Canadian economy.
After I spoke with President Trump this morning, Minister LeBlanc and I discussed the current trade crisis with the premiers. We are all focused on fighting U.S. tariffs, protecting Canadian workers, and building one strong Canadian economy.
