@davidironengine@melvis137@mattvanswol@TrevorSheatz I kept growing in the catholic ways…distributing communion, reading the readings during the mass, etc. Then, I met an individual who invited me to a Christian church that strives to follow the New Testament church. I was thrilled to find people faithful to the Word as written⬇️
@mattrixxxxx@Emma506131772@Gaba70707 So the catholic church has a special sacrament for baby “baptism”. Why not “baptize” when right out of the womb? Some catholics wait months. If it’s a “best to be safe” sacrament aren’t we relinquishing the true meaning of baptism? See Romans 6
@Seek_the_1_God@b_556x45@halaar19 Clarification please on the “he would have insisted…”. Is the “he” a reference to James? I ask because if you read the rest of the 15th chapter, they said that circumcision for being a Christian was not a requirement. James was involved with that decision. Thanks!
@mattrixxxxx@Emma506131772@Gaba70707 We have David’s response when his child died. “But now he is dead; why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me.” II Samuel 12:23
@1True_American_ Jesus prayed to God that His people would all be one-in unity. This is Satan’s work to divide God’s church. Follow Jesus and His Word. Assemble with like-minded Christians. The name of a group speaks volumes (John 17)
@EmilyPaducha@HistoryBoutique@mattvanswol@TrevorSheatz Jeff Cavins on Mike Schmitz’ podcast on Dec. 28, 2021 said, “most catholics, that we know of, don’t have that real personal relationship with the Word of God.”🤔 Are they guilty of being false witnesses or just telling it like it is?(Or was-encouraged by improvements)
@melvis137@lars_garr@mattvanswol@TrevorSheatz Funny how Jeff Cavins on Mike Schmitz’ podcast on Dec. 28, 2021 said, “most catholics, that we know of, don’t have that real personal relationship with the Word of God.”🤔
@halaar19@b_556x45 If I offend someone and realize my offense and go to that person and apologize, am I not also forgiven by God if I also go to Him in my prayer? Jesus is the intercessor for me. He is my High Priest. Hebrews 7 The curtain has been torn down and we have access to Him.
@darth_veritas01@HistoryBoutique@mattvanswol@TrevorSheatz Disciples were first called Christians at Antioch. Renaming the church to exclude even the name of Christ is the first problem of several. I wish the catholic church applied more of what is written in that catechism page. (Why I left)
