I will never stay silent when injustice speaks louder than justice. Racial inequality is not a political issue — it’s a heart issue, and a human issue. What we see occurring is a blind eye refusing to acknowledge what is obvious.

In our current political climate , with all the uncertainty of the years that lie ahead of us. I reflect back on this year , and a campaign well run with the help and support of phenomenal teams groups ,groups and independent parties that helped me all the way to the finish line.

With this past election now complete I feel
the continued enthusiasm not onlh to run but. to encourage others
not just sit on the sidelines but to actively become a part of making change happen . It’s important for all to understand that “regular” individuals working together really can make a difference in moving our country forward. It is vital that we choose not to view ourselves as politicians necessarily , but rather citizen concerned and passionate about protecting our countries democracy in ways that matter.

In light current unfortunate is events our governor states “We cannot accept violence in our schools and we must continue to work to identify threats and ensure the safety of students and teachers so they can focus on teaching and learning. -RC” . At this point too much has occurred in North Carolina schools. We must move past identifying the threats and move toward active actions actions to promote safety. As we continue to identify the threats We need to take Action now.

We are heartbroken for the students, educators and families of Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School and we grieve for this tragic loss. I really believe in order to protect all students and staff policy needs to be created as well As funding allocated to place either metal detectors or other means of detecting weapons that may come into schools.
It’s not about making kids feel as if they are a in prison ,it is about making all students feel safe when they come into the school building . There safety must come first.

Public Works employees installed wreaths this week, taking care to minimize traffic disruptions by working very early in the morning. They started installation work at 3 a.m. Tuesday. They also installed the holiday tree on the lawn of the Old Orange County Courthouse this week.
