Uttar Pradesh: On 28 September 2015, in Bisahda village of Dadri in Uttar Pradesh, an announcement was made from a local temple loudspeaker that Akhlaq had slaughtered a cow. After this, a violent mob attacked his house. The mob beat Akhlaq to death; in this attack, his mother and his 22-year-old son Danish were seriously injured.

At the end of 2025, the Uttar Pradesh government filed an application in a local court to withdraw all charges against the 19 accused

Isn't sealing these #Ghaziabad madrasas a direct violation of the Allahabad HC (Lucknow Bench) ruling? The court explicitly held that authorities cannot shut down or seal a madrasa simply for being unrecognised, citing Article 30(1) protections.
