Today is the Equal Pay Day!
In Germany, women are still paid significantly less than men. Across Germany, women earn 18% lower than men. In some states such as BW, the difference is approx. 27%.
Suppose women are NOT paid for 2-3 months of their work in a year 😒

Italian fisherman Vincenzo Luciano was one of the first persons to witness Sunday's migrant shipwreck near Crutone, Italy, which has so far claimed 67 lives.
Luciano pulled bodies from the sea. He spoke of his sorrow and guilt that he could not do more.

I am getting questions on the necessity of re-registration for the "Bundesaufnahmeprogramm". Is that right that ALL those who have registered during the last months should re-register again? It is because now different data is required?
Thanks for confirmation
"As regards ethnic and religious minorities, the widespread targeting of Hazaras and other Shias by the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) places them at significant risk, particularly in Afghanistan’s larger cities where many terrorist attacks have occurred."
"The EUAA has published an updated joint assessment of the situation in Afghanistan. In newly published Country Guidance, it concludes that women and girls are at risk of persecution under the Taliban and, therefore, are in general eligible for refugee status in Europe."

The #Taliban's policy is not only contemptuous of women, but also poisonous for #Afghanistan’s development. Without well-educated women, there is no way out of hunger and poverty. We will not stop looking for ways to support Afghan women.
@SR_Afghanistan Reading your tweet, women and girls in AFG are looking forward to see what "ALL YOU CAN DO" will be! Hopefully this does not disappoint us
By destroying the future of girls and women in #Afghanistan, the #Taliban decided to destroy their own country’s future. I will put the issue on the agenda of the G7 tomorrow. The Taliban may try to make women invisible, but won’t succeed - the world is watching.
Why can't/won't the world support #Afghanistan the way they have supported #Ukraine & #Iran?
The tragedy in AFG is comparable if not greater. Why support human/women's rights selectively? Half the population, women, are just prisoners kept within four all of their home.
