@bps_space@joebarnard A rocket that big(a few ft taller than a human) could carry a desktop PC motherboard with a few microcontroller boards onboard.
All circuits put together would not weigh more than
2-3kg.
Power supply: Light weight Lithium ion batteries were not available in 1970s,1980s. Now?

I've replicated same curved trace in image to show possible 'close-by junctions'.
(EM)interference, capacitance, resistance, power consumption, frequency of operation in such layouts have been analysed in ASICs & Motherboards?

From what I know,
every electronics/semiconductor company theoretically needs to update
1. every PCB it has designed/produced
2. every chip's internal power distribution, data communication physical layouts need to be updated.
Does anyone see this as a valid patent / application?
Nobody had a low priority, high priority interrupt vector table before?
The patent application could be considered if it was at the bare minimum an innovative design implementation.

@RedBullFort@intel RAL Re-use, cost savings, Time-to-market are all
EDA tool marketing jargon & hype which none of the methodology freaks would like to open their mouth about after their tool license renewal fee is fully paid.
Knowledge of tool methodologies is only about discriminating candidates
However,
human species & most life on earth are based on a narrow band of stable/sustainable parameters including some constants of chemistry, biology, physics(light's nature/behavior, density of water/liquids,how gravity works,..,..).
There should be millions of Blackholes(or 'Dark Stars' as an alternate name) across the universe.
It is not a vacuum machine where life in a planet or an entire planet or everything in that planetary system comes to an end instantly.
It probably take 1000s or millions of years.

@RueNahcMohr My Parallel Port project(C + ASM)...was long back during college days(Electrical Machines Lab,Annamalai University,Chidambaram,Tamilnadu).
I did not have a mobile or video camera to shoot the setup in operation.
Only a single photo clicked via a DSLR film camera (of my parents).
When I saw this movie scene first time in theatre decades back, thought was that the ship's crew was annoyed/jealous and hence the horn blaring loud enough was to troll/break the cringe romantic scene unfolding in the deck.
@ATaylorFPGA I look forward to feedback/comments/retorts from all sides; subject/domain experts & engineers who work in such environments and have practical experience outside their office rooms.
@ATaylorFPGA When you find ~15 minutes of spare time,
you can go through this discussion/proposal & share it with your friends/colleagues if you find it interesting enough.
Do share it with this AI/ML researcher you are referring to also.

This is my 'concept/discussion paper'.
The conference is already over.
I've given my 'remote talk' also.
I can write ~4+ more pages as of now & bring it to ~15 pages content. This is tweaked a bit for Indian context.
Feel free to post comments.
Robotic vision systems used in logistic hubs(in commercial warehouses) could display similar multi-colored grids & re-calibrate their algorithms for distortions observed due to reasons such as dust/hail storms/rain/humidity/typhoons/sand storms/mud flooding/avalanche/snow storm.
Rovers on mars/moon/venus should not lose sight due to a cracked lens!
Software should be able to recover useful images from distorted/faulty camera feed also.
Idea is that a space walking astronaut's onboard(helmet) camera & onboard/offboard computers process various such visual cues pasted (while in orbit) to get a visual proportion as the space environment lacks background cues to assess size/distance.

I'm working towards releasing a version with some configurable parameters.
Meanwhile,
If ISS folks could take a BW/CLR printout
@ISS_Research could experiment sticking the page on far end of robotic arm & use it for calibration.
Hi @martinmbauer,
If you/your team has any automation/engineering/research equipment/requirement that is not available off-the-shelf, let me know.
I can come up with a system design & build, deliver any end to end solution.
