BREAKING: A new report by Ontario's Financial Accountability Office has found the Ontario government is underspending on healthcare by $21.3 billion.
They're underfunding our public healthcare system so they can implement private for-profit healthcare.
Don't let them fool you.
Medical school admissions selects for certain personality traits in physicians - This doesn't necessarily bode well for being thrust into the uncertainty and unknown (lack of control) of clinical environments.. Great thread - something to ponder.

Medical school applications are designed to favour high achievers, type A personality types, people with perfectionist traits, high standards. Then it trains these individuals
Primary care is the front door of the health care system
But for too many people in Canada, that front door is now closed

In spite of that.. I still eat quite slowly unless I *have* to eat quickly.
Although I'm still a few years away from CaRMS, it's been such an exciting week watching my 22' friends and upper-year mentors match to their dream specialties. It's truly exciting watching your friends actualize their dreams ππΎ #CaRMS2022
