@tetheredtoed1@CNN@CNNOpinion Closed loop is better than evaporative systems, to be sure, but it’s not zero-loss. Utah is not blessed with a lot of water to begin with, and 30% of a lot might be too much. And thats “reduce by UP TO 70%”

1) #DataCenter proposed by OLeary in Utah is 40,000 acres in size. That’s 62.5 square miles. I don’t think people quite understand that.
2) This is Utah. Where’s that water coming from? Even if it’s recycled, there will be massive evaporation problems.

@FloppingAces Vt already puts these bar codes on mail in ballots. I assume most states do also.
You request a ballot thru your MYVOTERPAGE on the state SecOfState website. It’s sent to your mailbox. Fill it out, sign it, return it. They check your name off. All secure and easily tracked.
@fakedansavage@fuckyouiquit Even if they impeached the peach-colored buffoon once a month, they’d still have plenty of time to get more business and legislation done than this Congress has.
@MarvelTeacher2@ModestTeacher It's not a debate.
You made a critical post, writing as if it were an obvious fact. They said, "It's BS." Your broadside w/o evidence doesn't require any major investment on his part.
What grade?
What course?
How common?
How do you know?
Tune up your own argument first.
@3RenChengHu@memeticsisyphus Let's also talk about those kids who took out loans but didn't finish their degree ... lots of debt but no degree to offset with a better salary. Sure, you can say "It's their fault" but the debt is still there and it drags the borrower down for years.
@randysquier@MichaelPetrilli@alexanderrusso Makes scoring simpler until a kid scores 20/30 and you start questioning how that very shy, nervous kid handled questions: Struggled or Managed most, ... and so on.
Precise vs Accurate.
@randysquier@MichaelPetrilli@alexanderrusso It's going to be subjective at some level, but the points system implies pure objectivity. Only way to avoid it is very detailed rubrics, like the ones used in AP scoring, and nobody is doing that for each section of four different preps.
And it still isn't a magic bullet.
@JakeCowling PP seduces people into thinking that watching you click through is the same as writing on the board and that watching things go by on screen leads to retention.
@Steevers4@minilek Nice in theory. In practice, not so much.
Merit is rather difficult to measure. Having everyone take the same test is one way, but it's a narrow, point-in-time, measurement.
Amazing how often money = "merit" in college admissions.
@Therealrobx@GnosisWolf They said “We want universal healthcare, higher minimum wage, unions, higher tax brackets, regulated capitalism.”
You said “That’s Socialism!”
They said “OK.”
They want socialism not bc it’s bad or evil but bc you said it’s the only way to treat people fairly.
@CTLake14Patriot@wukune You are absolutely right. The number of pastors who rape children is awful. This demonic far-right "Christian" ideology has got to be stopped. They accept adult men raping young girls and boys without any punishment.
