@DiggersOfNews So you were elected to the position by your supporters but a different person was selected for the job? Hmm, this is a very familiar pattern…
@Mike42726245 He’s missing a lot! Fugitive is a status not a legal procedure. And old charge sheet ≠ detention order. And if he was abducted it can taint the whole prosecution as many courts refuse to legitimize Executive lawlessness, so State can genuinely lose a slam dunk case on procedure
@mutachali These chaps are crazy! Their whole rebuttal is: if you haven’t objected to every single injustice since the dawn of time you are not allowed to object to anything. They would rather audit your posting history than actually debate you on the issue you’re highlighting!
@DiggersOfNews Nobody is asking for operational details- e.g the informants , the movements etc . Those can stay secret fair enough. They asked one thing: was it lawful? Was there an extradition order or wasn't there? The legality of an arrest is not a state security secret
@LindaKasonde ‘JJ had to be captured by any means necessary’- so you admit the State abducted him
‘He called for genocide so he has no rights’ - this is for a court to decide
‘Why must the State explain itself to you’ - seriously?
‘But national security’- then declare a state of emergency
@DiggersOfNews ‘Before rights there are laws.’ Umm, no! Rights come first; laws exist to protect them. That's what a Constitution is. A whole editor arguing laws outrank rights is insane! Apartheid was legal too. Press freedom is also a right & the day laws outrank rights his column goes first
@DiggersOfNews 2 months ago the State ‘discovered’ armed militia in Kabulonga with Kafwaya among them. Now armed groups are reported in his hometown & suddenly the State can't be bothered to investigate? So either the militia story was fake or they are not taking this potential threat seriously
@StrawberryVian So emotional. They accuse the CSOs of "a verdict that precedes evidence" , then they spend two whole pages doing the same thing by declaring JJ a fugitive, assassin, génocidaire, robber before any verdict based on evidence has been ruled on by a court
@Bright_200314 Extradition, access to counsel, no lengthy detentions - These aren’t special favors demanded only for JJ. They’re part of a legal process that protects all of us, even HH. Following it is exactly how the State gets an unimpeachable conviction. Deny it & it just makes JJ a martyr
@Mwebantu Which citizenry? What % ? Counted by whom, with what poll? So agreeable voices are magically designated as "the citizenry”, but critics are dubbed "naysayers" & "bogus CSOs"?
@Mule_Kaipambe@pureblase Imagine! They actually want us grateful that the State hasn't beheaded anyone for speaking. That's the standard. One rung above the barbarians & they want a gold star for it.
Thank you, bwana. I check my neck each morning & praise your infinite mercy 🙄
Zambia has people locked up right now for organizing an armed militia. A former Minister was killed in an alleged shootout with said millitia. So either your post is true & this militia story is fake! Or your post is false, because they found militia in Zambia. It can’t be both
In all English speaking SADC countries, you will never find
a) Rebel Groups
b) Military Coups
c) Capital Cities that look like Ndjemane
d) All Southern African Economies have similar traits, shops, banks, malls
Southern Africa is the most stable, successful place in Africa
@DiggersOfNews “ Speak up when public officers delay projects”
Translation: Speak up only with praise & understanding. If you speak in a way that hurts our feelings & bruises our egos, you're a naysayer frustrating Grow Zambia with your negativity. So speak up but only in the way we want “
@Mwebantu Interesting that m it's State House defending this, and not the courts or the DPP. You know, where the law actually works. The executive doesn't need to "defend" how a suspect was caught because the legal process defends itself
@DrFredaBrazle@UNHumanRights@achpr_cadhp@hrw@amnesty@_AfricanUnion Obviously endless detention without trial is unconstitutional. But watch a praise singer read this very sensible post and reply "but why was he hanging out with militia". They fault to see the irony that no court in this country has ruled on that militia story yet
