@marthatbarrett@cluzniak @mrsjohnsonCA @superteacher524@adinam225@KristieDonavan@Sneffleupagus@howie_hua Totally agree with all of this. And it helps me get to learn more about their mathematical preferences, mathematical identity, & mathematical personality.

@MrKitMath This is what I posted in @Flipgrid
I gave them the option to use one, some or all of the prompts.
I got some very thoughtful responses.
…yeah, I cried. 🥲 and laughed 😂
@saravdwerf Me and the tiny humans were talking about how when I was a kid, I used to think my teachers lived at school ((and was very surprised when I saw my 3rd grade teacher at a restaurant!!!)
But I can even explain that through patterns..because whenever I saw her, she was at school🤓
I’ve thought a lot about @saravdwerf description of math -
Finding a pattern and then being able to describe it.
I taught from this perspective this year, and it was very liberating...for the students and (especially) me.
Thank you for sharing this. ❤️❤️

Tell me a word/phrase that irritates and/or offends you.
I’ll go first.

After reading through some of these replies...
Take some of the words and apply it to teachers/yourself
Low teachers
Those teachers can’t...
Treat your students how you want to be treated as a teacher.

@Dr_Kreisberg Yes!!!
I heard that phrase today.
“We’ve used it for the past 6 years”
As if that is a legit justification.
I’m not saying let’s change every year, but let’s stop using that as a reason why.
And hiiiii!! ☺️❤️❤️
