New study from our lab: a ketogenic diet has opposite effects on intestinal tumors in mice — accelerating them in the small intestine, suppressing them in the colon. Neither effect requires ketones — dietary lipid content drives both. https://t.co/KebbnVM2Qh
The ramp up of cancer immunotherapy is remarkable. Now we're seeing vaccines achieve some cures or remissions in the most refractory cancers: pancreatic, melanoma, glioblastoma, renal, triple-negative breast cancer.

@shouval_lab@SnehaPramod@hagargir and I reflect on the work of the ✨ TME community in a new review re fibroblasts in cancer @NatureCancer. 2025 was my yr to 🩵 the distraction of writing (IYKYK), so thx to all whose discoveries made this so gratifying. https://t.co/9nNnkvh3wX
In cancer, activated T cells release abundant extracellular vesicles that transfer DNA to the nucleus of tumor and immune (dendritic) cells, turning tumors from cold to hot. An immunotherapy in the works. @Cancer_Cell

❓ What if we could block cancer’s ability to survive in low-oxygen environments and make #immunotherapy more effective?
➡️ In a new study published in the Journal of Experimental Medicine (@JExpMed), researchers developed dual inhibitors targeting HIF-1 and HIF-2, key regulators that help tumors adapt to hypoxia.
➡️ These compounds bind HIF proteins, block their activity and trigger their degradation, shutting down pathways that drive tumor growth, angiogenesis and immune evasion.
➡️ In preclinical models, dual HIF inhibition suppressed tumor growth across multiple cancer types and outperformed selective HIF-2 inhibitors.
➡️ When combined with immune checkpoint blockade in murine models, response rates exceeded 50% and helped overcome resistance to immunotherapy.
🌟 Targeting #hypoxia may help reprogram the tumor microenvironment and unlock stronger immune responses.

CAR T cell therapy has shown strong results against certain cancers, but metabolic exhaustion limits its effectiveness over time.
In @CellCellPress, the @MaayanLevyPhD & @ChristophThaiss labs report that a common supplement can fuel CAR T cells to fight cancer more effectively.
