We think @ChicagosMayor should do something about the CFD Station at 12701 South Doty.

It houses Engine 80, Truck 61, and Amb. 51.

The conditions are utterly deplorable.

According to our source, the station floods when it rains, but it isn't merely groundwater; it's sewage backup.

Despite appeals to correct this quagmire, the city has declined to complete necessary repairs.

Over July Fourth, the firehouse flooded again, multiple times, forcing CFD personnel to carry out clean up without the benefit of any sanitary material.

On Friday, flooding began at 9 p.m., but plumbers only arrived after 1 a.m.

We're told human waste floated on the apparatus floor, bunk room, and officers' quarters.

Imagine if the mayor's office or Annette Nance-Holt's office flooded. The repairs would be immediate and lasting.

This is a safety and health issue. Shouldn't Chicago do something about this revolting situation?

A unit came over the radio and said someone was hit by a car.

About a minute, later a unit who doesn't identify themselves says "How about giving her some medical attention, hello?"

The dispatcher snaps back "Uh, what are you doing? You can go help."

The unit then says "How about I'm 1100 and I'm watching it from the pods, thank you."

"Ok fire is en route. We have units on scene and fire is en route. So if this is 1100, identify yourself we'll let them know you're watching."

The unit then says "Yeah, they know I'm watching. They know I'm always watching."

"Ok thanks" says the dispatcher.

1100 is the commander of the 11th district, Davina Ward.
