🔸Moment of silence for the amazing South Africans who have spoken up against the xenophobic attacks and victimization of foreign Africans. May God bless you and all those who are stepping up to keep the vulnerable fed, warm and safe. We thank you. Your immense courage and warm hearts do not go unseen.
Most reasonable people know that, for the most part, South Africans are warm people who receive guests with the customary Ubuntu we all know. This regrettable streak must never allow us to forget the South Africa we know and love.
Every nation has the right to enforce migration laws and protect its borders. No person has the right to subject another human to indignity, suffering or death because they have a different heritage. That is not the African Dream.
We are one.

🔴🔴Hoping all Africans labeled as foreigners in South Africa will arrive home safely. Let's extend our hands to welcome those who have made it home and continue supporting those still on their way! It's better to be home than to live in fear. The reality being this hate is directed to black foreigners not white foreigners. These black South Africans are telling black foreigners to go back to leave South Africa. #Afrophobia
Excellent where musada kutinzwa….
Mutapa fund recently gave its shareholders millions in dividends - how is that possible when nearly 50% of the country’s citizens live in extreme poverty !!
And 30% have to escape hunger by living the country !!!

🔸If @ZANUPF_Official had any shame, they’d resign immediately. This is a man-made crisis and they are responsible for it. 2030 kuti muitesei? Shameful.

Devolution is welcome, but it is not enough to fix the crises facing us all.
We will never bring about real change without a mass redistribution of wealth, ownership & power.
Public ownership. Wealth taxes. Rent controls. That must be the basis for a real alternative. [1/3]

🔸Sparing a thought for Zimbabweans in South Africa who are going through an additional round of suffering, having tried to escape the vagaries of being back home. It is not easy. Dai nyika yedu yangonaka. Mwari pindirai.🙏🏽

The irony was impossible to ignore. A conference on extreme heat being cancelled because of extreme heat. You could not make it up. 😂
As someone who grew up in Africa, I cannot help but look at some of these situations with a smile. Schools closing because temperatures reach the mid 30s, railway tracks warping, and warnings to stay indoors ,drink lots of water ,all seem rather foreign to those of us who walked to school under a blazing sun and still sat through lessons in classrooms with no air conditioning.
Back home, children regularly endure temperatures that would trigger heat alerts in parts of Europe. Railway lines operate in far hotter conditions and life generally carries on.
Of course, the difference is that much of Britain's infrastructure, housing and transport systems were designed for a cooler climate. Buildings retain heat, trains and tracks were engineered for lower temperature ranges, and people are simply not accustomed to prolonged hot weather.
That said, one cannot help but smile at the contrast. African children would probably look at a school closure due to 35°C and think it was an early holiday. 😂
Perhaps the real lesson is that resilience is often shaped by what we grow up with. What seems extreme in one country may be perfectly normal in another.
Still, cancelling an extreme heat conference because of extreme heat remains one of the more memorable moments of the year. 🤣🤣
Is this what it means to be a CDF women desk spokesperson … ? It seems your only agenda is to bash one person which is an interesting role to have ….
What is the core objective of CDF - the mind boggles 🤔
