@stl7thward Many years ago we were in NW Arkansas visiting family near the Buffalo River park area & passed through a vacant town that had 2 metal shacks by the road. One was spray painted ATM & other read Subway. Too funny
@Beganovic2022 @carolinefan The lower average speeds/speed limits in the cities may also contribute to fewer fatalities, but the frequency of accidents & carelessness is a city thing in my experience. I support Drivers Ed 100%. MO needs it.
@Beganovic2022 @carolinefan True but the density of the chicago area is a major factor w/IL #’s, on any topic. I lived downtown Chicago & StL for 10yrs each. The reckless driving we see here is also up north, but not as prevalent outside the urban centers.
@winger_brian My dad, an ex pilot, keeps mentioning that we don’t hear about the jet stream much anymore. Not on the news or during the weather reporting segments. I’m old enough to recall hearing that ours has weakened the last 10 yrs or so. Is this accurate?
@winger_brian@DrAPearson You should visit Edwardsville sometime for the specialty plant farms. We have a lavender specialist & a really cool bonsai farm. Probably others too.
@donofalltrades1 Making espresso at home is difficult. I’ve got a free burr grinder to give away, if you’re ever by Scott AFB. Decent ones start at $300
@stl7thward Today is my 1st brisket attempt…and I also chopped it in 1/2 (on accident). Cooking it outdoors & hoping the sea salt + cracked pepper make good things happen. No idea what I’m doing but hey, it’s brisket. Happy holiday!
@ianfroeb @ElanMcMillin I lived on Wash Ave a while & worked in IL. Saw that move many times at the last Tucker stoplight just before the Stan Musial bridge onramp. An amazing move. Like they were in 6th place then all the sudden win the race.
