@libsoftiktok@olatheschools@ChrisZuck Stop harassing people, jerk.
Seriously. What you are doing--summoning an online mob to harass people? You have to know that's wrong.
@2024dion @pkfwywb The state of Missouri literally requires a certain percentage of the city's budget go to cops. Here is a report from 2020 showing how high funding was then. Since then, it's jumped a LOT, thanks to new state requirements.

@RealPatProctor So you want to stop seniors from voting?
That... is probably not going to work as well for you as you think it is.
But hey, yeah, call it ballot harvesting and make it sound all scary when it's literally having someone put it in a ballot dropbox for you since you don't drive.
@ScottSchwabKS Whoever recommended that you post this should probably be fired from your campaign.
Republicans don't like Cheney due to his Trump haterade and war-mongering.
Democrats & independents mostly dislike him for lying & war-mongering.
Srsly, who thought this would be a good idea?
@KSArchaeologist@RepDavids That's because ~1% of Americans are trans.
And yet Republicans insist we need to take away the civil rights of this tiny minority so that their fee-fees aren't hurt b/c trans people exist.
Free buses are an investment in our people and our economy — helping workers, small businesses, and every New Yorker who deserves a more connected city.
@breadlinebrunch@dnvr_is_burning@maxdubler Yup.
And btw, the suburbs are supposed to be kicking in money to the KCATA to help fund it, but like none of them do. A tiny 1/8th cent sales tax in Johnson County could boost KCATA's funding by ~50%, and would probably pass in a public vote.
@maxdubler Kansas City's free bus service does, and also boasts a free now-almost-5-mile-long streetcar line to go with it.
Granted, the city's refusal to raise taxes to pay for it means that it may soon be coming to an end, but it has been nice while it lasted.
@kenklippenstein Hi, Kansas Citian here.
We literally already have free buses and community-owned grocery stores.
Unfortunately, both are now threatened due to funding cuts b/c Missouri Republicans & KC Democrats won't even try to tax the rich.
@DaemonOneil@Acyn@AOC Turnout was the highest in a mayoral election since the 1960s.
Like, literally the biggest turnout in a NYC Mayor's race in modern history.
He got people to vote in a municipal election. (!) Plenty may have come out against him, but plenty came out for him, too.
