Fighting to restore confidence in our elections as State Representative, Chairman of the House Elections Committee, and candidate for Kansas Secretary of State.
The radical Left wants vulnerable voter rolls, but we fought back! I proudly passed the SAVE Kansas Act to remove disqualified voters, use noncitizen data to prevent illegal voting, and ensure online registration sites safeguard your data. Integrity matters. #ksleg
This win belongs to all the folks that have supported our campaign. All the volunteers that have been knocking doors and putting out signs. All the donors that helped us shatter the off-year fundraising record for a secretary of state race. #ksleg

I carried and passed the SAVE Kansas Act to secure our elections! It includes 3 key measures:
1️⃣ Removes disqualified voters
2️⃣ Uses noncitizen benefit reports to stop illegal voting
3️⃣ Restricts online registration to secure .gov sites or those approved by @KansasSOS#ksleg
I joined the military in 1989, but didn't truly choose to serve until the summer before 9/11. I filmed this with the Shawnee County Pachyderm Club on Veterans Day 2025, but it felt right to share today. For the first time online, here is the story of choice to serve. #ksleg
A law you don't enforce is just wishful thinking. AG @KrisKobach1787 fought for the Secretary of State to have the power to prosecute election crimes. As your next Secretary of State, I will restore this capacity to the office so we can enforce the laws on our books! #ksleg
I don't just fight for secure elections in KS as House Elections Chair—I do it nationally. As an @ALEC_states Task Force Chair & @EACgov Advisor, I’m defending limited government and working to implement President @realDonaldTrump's Executive Order on Election Integrity. #ksleg
As Chairman of the House Elections Committee, my focus is restoring confidence and transparency. One of my biggest wins? Repealing the "three-day grace period." We finally made Election Day once again Election Day! #ksleg
The radical Left wants vulnerable voter rolls, but we fought back! I proudly passed the SAVE Kansas Act (including HB 2491 & HB 2438). It cleans up registration records, uses noncitizen data to stop illegal voting, and restricts online registration to secure .gov sites. #ksleg
"While HB 2111 may be well-intentioned,...[but] it was requested by a single entity and rammed through the legislative process at the last minute," says @GovLauraKelly , the woman who rammed through the @LWOS_KCChiefs deal in a one-day special session.
I applaud @USSupremeCourt
for their decision today, which reaffirms the fundamental principle on which this country is founded, that no matter your race, sex, or religion, we are all equal under the law. #ksleg

My primary opponent, @kenrahjes, is making national news for all the wrong reasons.
"What is most galling, however, is the opposition of Rep. Ken Rahjes, a Republican from tiny Agra, Kansas, a rural district just south of the Nebraska border. Incredibly, Rahjes is now running for secretary of state, the very office responsible for overseeing elections in Kansas.
"Voters should ask themselves a simple question: If Rahjes is unwilling to support a bill that provides an eminently sensible back-up plan in case the signature verification requirement is struck down, why should anyone trust him to protect election integrity as secretary of state? The idea that a Republican candidate for that office is comfortable weakening safeguards against potential voter fraud is not just disappointing; it should be disqualifying." #ksleg

I suspect you meant to write that you are not voting for me based on the rest of your comment. I would just highlight that HB2569 would not have prevented you or your brother from voting by mail, even if signature verification WAS overturned. Disability is a specific "excuse" under the statute we would revert to, and there is a little check box on the envelope that a person checks if they are no longer able to sign the envelope due to disability.
The mainstream media, 24-7, calls @POTUS Hitler and a fascist and accuses him of involvement in an Epstein scandal that they actively covered up over multiple Democrat administrations and then claims innocence in a third attempt on @realDonaldTrump's life? Despicable. #ksleg
NEW: Norah O'Donnell plays dumb as Trump tears into her after she brought up how the shooting suspect called him a “r*pist” in his manifesto.
O'Donnell: “He also wrote this: ‘I'm no longer willing to permit a ped*phile, rap*st, and traitor…’”
Trump: “I was waiting for you to read that because I knew you would, because you're horrible people. Horrible people.”
O'Donnell: “Oh, do you think he was referring to you?”
Trump: “Excuse me, excuse me… You read that crap from some sick person…”
Running for Secretary of State wasn't the plan. Neither was serving in the Kansas House.
But we face a crisis of voter confidence. I’ve seen on foreign battlefields what happens when people lose faith in the ballot box.
I’m running to ensure that never happens here. #ksleg
Last night, I made my last trip to the well as a State Representative, representing Leavenworth, Fort Leavenworth, and Kickapoo to thank my colleagues in the House of Representatives for the honor of serving along side them to make Kansas a better place to live, work, and raise a family. I look forward to the honor of returning next year to preside over the swearing in ceremony for the next Legislature in my first act as your next Secretary of State. #ksleg
As House Elections Chair, I’ve fought to pass bills combating non-citizen voting and ballot harvesting. Democrat @GovLauraKelly will almost certainly veto them. Today, we return to Topeka for the veto session to override her and make them law! #ksleg
Honored to have your endorsement, Representative Brunk.
“Pat Proctor is a retired US Colonel, business owner and professor. Additionally, Proctor is a Kansas Legislator serving as the House Chairman of Elections. In his capacity as Elections Chairman, Proctor has worked to bring integrity and accountability to our voting system. He has a deep knowledge of election processes.
As Secretary of State, he will ensure Kansans have the most secure and trusted election system possible. As a retired Army Colonel and business owner, Proctor has strong administrative abilities, a skill necessary to operate the Secretary of State’s office. Proctor’s life experiences and current position as House Chairman of Elections, make him the ideal candidate for Secretary of State.
It is my pleasure to endorse Pat Proctor for Kansas Secretary of State.” - Representative Steven Brunk (2026-) Business Owner Church Elder, Previous State Representative (2003 - 2012) Commerce and Labor Chairman, Federal and State Affairs Chairman, Majority Whip. #ksleg
