It's official! My first solo project since quitting my job is launching later this year. I designed Fruit Ninja & Jetpack Joyride, but solo dev is new to me.

@jimmycanuck Yup, I’ve had mine for years and love it. Main uses for me: tracking workouts, reading notifications, setting reminders with Siri. It means my phone can stay in my pocket most of the time.
@AeornFlippout The funny thing is that OpenAI uploaded that video as a specific example of Sora failing (look at the hands clapping or the fact that the candles don’t get blown out).
@NickPoorman@GergelyOrosz this is incorrect, the new changes to section 174 make it so that *all* software development labor expenses AND any related expenses to software development must be amortized over five years.
@AxelCapek@RayBenefield yup, was about to recommend this, this is how many successful non-Fortnite incremental/clicker games refer to large numbers as well.
@ObamacideGFX@rolledfnt@OblivionVT@LifewPanda@benoSeven why are you trying so hard to justify toxic behaviour? stop it. it’s hard to admit that it’s bad. not only that, but it’s going to lead to even less of the communication between devs and players that you claim to want.
@veloxcityfn@LifewPanda you are talking about a producer in terms of movies... a producer in games is a completely different role, it has to do with managing schedules and communication between departments etc.
@rolledfnt@LifewPanda@benoSeven you are missing the point. it doesn't matter what the specific change was, it has to do with the toxic reaction to it (and specifically the toxic treatment of a member of the dev team)
My Jetpack Joyride making of video is finally out. This was an EPIC for me... So much edited out, and it's still over 40 mins long.

@ArturSmiarowski @FalconeerDev how are those even comparable? Looks like the company that made Sea of Stars has 25 employees, meanwhile the company that made Dave the Diver has 7000 employees.
