It took some time to tweak CRT effect we use in @InvDayGame I’m usually not a big fan of these filters, so I wanted something subtle but also interesting. Do you usually turn this off or play with it? Also are there any games which use it nicely?

@mawntee @InvDayGame That’s some cool stuff. Unfortunately, for a 2D static camera game, I need to be more careful, and effects have to be more uniform. Even vignetting is not too good because edges might be as important as the center at any time.

@JanOrszulik Unfortunately this requires changes in unity’s URP renderer, so we forked it.

@JanOrszulik I tried radiance cascades and it didn’t fit this too well. I needed much more fake stuff. In the end I just take the light texture created by unity, mask it with tilemaps, add emission light sources on top and then run wide bloom filter on it. Result is used as new light texture.

@JanOrszulik Thanks! That means a lot from you. Still working on it. It’s very hard to find a line between realism and readability for pixel art.

Dnes něco na iOS. Poslal @Split82, asi se mě chtěl zbavit. Bullpen je minimalistická logická hra kombinující Sudoku s Minesweeper. Zprvu chybí variabilita a výzva, zajímavé to začne být až v Hard módu. Skvělé UI, velká část je zdarma, denní výzvy, online bitva. Zkuste! #indietip
