@usgraphics Similar levels of obsession; the entire CryptoMuseum website is amazing; too many examples to list but this page on Telex has some beautiful diagrams https://t.co/cQt41uQZF5
Not as polished but the PRC68 website is another similar gem https://t.co/Zu9LApZuO5
Critical software doesn’t confirm to design trends, doesn’t obscure utility with excess whitespace or ambiguous UI elements.
WECDIS on the Royal Navy’s Bridge Simulator at @HMS_Collingwood
Quoted tweet via @usgraphics - Their Berkeley Mono type face would look awesome here
A good rule of thumb:
When your software becomes critical enough, the important metrics get boxed in. Quicker to scan, immediate retinal focus.
There’s no ICU monitoring interface or airplane cockpit dashboard without boxed critical metrics.

@orbatmapper@RoyalNavy@spatialillusion Worth a visit; some very interesting kit looked after by dedicated and knowledgeable people; I’m not sure if they open to the public normally but they do on the @HMS_Collingwood open day/Field Gun competition. Lots of other fun kit to play with too
Falkland CTG 317.8 GOP 141400Z JUN82, General Operating Plan of all ships directly involved with recapture of Falkland Island at time of surrender by Argentine forces. Seen at @RoyalNavy communications museum, HMS Collingwood, Mercury building. cc @orbatmapper, @spatialillusion

I loved this film growing up, chapeau on preserving an amazing piece of movie history.
@spatialillusion@EugenPinak Now that I have some more time after a busy year last year I’d be more than happy to contribute some PRs - been trying to get momentum up on some my projects too.
@EugenPinak@spatialillusion Certainly if you mean the Unit Symbol Generator but the underlying library is can be extended for custom symbols https://t.co/Sc3ay3HAVa
