Just heard that the great Horst Janson -- aka Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter, the title character of one of Hammer's greatest and weirdest vampire movies -- has passed away at the age of 89. Farewell, Captain. May your sword be forever sharp.
Robert Eggers is set to direct ‘WERWULF’ as his next film.
Described as a werewolf horror movie set in 13th century England with dialogue true to the time period.

The "blockbusters don't need to look good" thing is annoying when during the 90s you'd get a family movie about two guys trying to outsmart a mouse and it looked like this.

In my opinion this rules out The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, possibly the least Rock and/or Roll Narnia book. While it does predate Shake Rattle and Roll, Rock Around the Clock, and That's All Right by a year, The Silver Chair is the most Rock N Roll Narnia book don't @ me
Thinking of proposing a paper critically reflecting on my teaching periodicals and digital/physical (and my assessment for this). Specifically I am teaching Gothic Short Form.
Anyone interested in forming a panel either on teaching periodicals and/or Gothic and/or short form?

Maybe this snippet misrepresents the review, but what an odd point of comparison to make when one is performing for a camera and one performing for the stage. Isn't this like the fundamental difference between stage and screen acting?

Sold this week, Lord Summerisle’s jacket from The Wicker Man.
This garment was one of Lee's favourites. He wore it in several other films, including The Skull (1965), as well as for publicity photos and interviews.
