A motorway sign that deserves heritage protection…

While driving yesterday, my brain inevitably wandered into completely unnecessary football research.

This sign at M60 Junction 18 mentions part of the names of SIX football clubs:

⚽ Bolton Wanderers
⚽ Liverpool
⚽ Leeds United
⚽ Bury
⚽ Burnley
⚽ Blackburn Rovers

Sadly, Bury currently sit outside our entirely arbitrary qualification criteria, leaving an official score of FIVE.

So here’s the challenge…

Can anybody find ONE UK road sign mentioning part of the names of SIX or more clubs currently playing within the top four tiers of English or Scottish football?

The relevant name must actually be written on the sign and each club can only count once. Photographic evidence ideally required but DRIVE SAFELY 🤣

Five is the benchmark. Six or more could take the motorway title.

If nobody beats it, we begin the process of getting this sign heritage listed. 😂

Oliver Skipp’s dismissal, Russell Martin’s possession obsession in League One, naively playing across the back, defeat and despair, so much wrong on-field with Leicester City. Players and coach have to take more responsibility. And apply more suitable tactics.

But the main issue is the ownership. Leicester’s paralysis and drift down the leagues is largely a King Power issue. The family and the firm have done so much for the Club and the city down the years. But they have to go. Time to sell. But to the right people. Much right about Leicester - stadium, training ground, fanbase, academy. They just need better leadership and recruitment. #LCFC
