I am a criminal defence lawyer in Ottawa. My cases mostly involve sex-assault, impaired driving, domestic-related offences, and appeals. Tweets ≠ legal advice.
@AnaKasparian@OlympeGouze They filmed themselves doing this too. Here, they’re actually taking aim at civilians. You’ve probably seen this before, but just figured it’s more lazy hasbara.

⚠️WARNING: GRAPHIC
Hamas, in full uniform, and in broad daylight, torture and shoot Gazans while having it filmed.
They’ve become so emboldened to do whatever they want because millions and millions of idiots march in the streets of the west to cheer for them and support anything they do.
This is what they cheer.
This is the real Gaza.
@schmosef@EK94227386@HuntersOfNazis I’ve spent lots of time engaging with this kind of lunacy. I’ve slowed down on it. Those who hate the Jewish state are almost always intractable.
First: my profile pic is a picture taken ten years ago. I’m 39. Secondly, I’ve said in another post that this looks like a .50 cal - (which is a round used by snipers) - which you should’ve seen in this thread since you’re such a stickler for diligence.
Based on your posts to me, I would doubt that you’ve been the voice of sober second thought. Instead, you’ve exemplified how vehemence is the enemy of rationality and critical thinking.
I appreciate the tempered approach. To make myself perfectly clear: I was leaving open the possibility that the photo of the unspent round may have been presented as a visual aide for the type of bullets being used.
The thought of Quds News presenting that particular round as previously fired is an accusation WAY too dumb to be actually made.
@EK94227386@schmosef@HuntersOfNazis Oh, wonderful. Another anonymous legal scholar talking about legal rights. Israelis have a country and they have the right to live it (and they will continue to do so).
I’m doing nothing of the sort. I’m looking at a photo of an allegation that comes across as “too stupid to be interpreted the way we’re interpreting it”.
I’m thus considering the possibility that they didn’t mean “here’s a round recovered after it was fired”.
I’ve made a career out of being the voice of sober second thought. Have you?
@BearFlagFan@HuntersOfNazis@schmosef There’s nothing wrong with my English comprehension. I’m merely suggesting that the photo might have been presented as a demonstrative aide rather than a round recovered after it’s been fired.
Try playing devil’s advocate once in a while. It helps with critical thinking.
@BrerRabbitBurnr@schmosef@HuntersOfNazis I thought there was reason to do that. I’m not advocating for Quds Network; I’m trying to ensure that our criticism isn’t off-base.
Haven’t read the book yet, but I intend to. In any event, you may say “look, that’s far too charitable and it’s not reasonable to think that’s what they meant”. If you were to say that, it wouldn’t be a terrible argument and I’m open to persuasion.
I just lost a follower because she thinks that I don’t support Israel. I do support Israel, but part of that support means presenting our best arguments and guarding against potential attack.
That round looks like a .50 cal. Viewers may better understand that when they see the full round. Maybe that’s what the authors were going after… or maybe they’re that stupid. But merely asking the questions shouldn’t be considered traitorous anti-Israel advocacy.
@schmosef@HuntersOfNazis The English caption might allow for that ambiguity. I’m trying to be as charitable as possible before we convict someone of gross stupidity beyond a reasonable doubt.
@MABUkissmahazz@HuntersOfNazis@schmosef I’m just trying to be as charitable as possible so as to avoid accusing people of being that stupid when they actually aren’t.
"Developers are stuck. They don't want sell at a loss." - @MarkJCarney
Developers have options:
▪️Keep empty
▪️Convert to rental
▪️Lower prices
And so what if they sell at a loss? That's the game.
Why should Canadian taxpayers bail out homebuilders?
A motive to commit a crime is not conclusive evidence of guilt. On its own, it provides reasonable suspicion at best.
A lot of people on X should probably apply that basic principle to their views on geopolitics.
@afc_bro@HuntersOfNazis That’s… completely insane. It’s also reflective of just how disconnected individuals are from reality.
I’m 100% sure that if you were to spend a year in each country, you’d beg to be in Israel if you were made to choose.
