Selectively monitoring the operando temperature of active metal nanoparticles during catalytic reactions by X-ray absorption nanothermometry https://t.co/jvkvRbiw1S
📢 New publication!
In our Nature Catalysis paper (@NatureCatalysis), we selectively monitor the local temperature of nanoparticles while executing catalytic reactions, and observe that their temperature changes when converting CO₂.

👉Local temperature changes (up to 90°C) reveal nanoparticles as hotspots/heatsinks during reaction, possibly impacting their performance.
👉Applied to CO₂ conversion, this technique can reconstruct the energy balance at the nanoparticle level.
📢 In our Chem article (@Chem_CP), we unite work of @ProfDaveLeigh and @pauldauenhauer to augment catalytic reaction rates beyond classic limits by dynamic catalysis, and link it to the behavior of enzymes.
