I guess I better make one of these...
Hi, I'm MattyK, aka @Mattyrogue. Occasional harasser of MrBubblez.
I don't really stream. You might find some VR content in my feed on occasion, some Battletech, and random British banter and snark.
I haven't seen anyone else do this or say they did it.
So here's a recording of the lullaby of the #FuralitySomna critters that were a top of the central tower for anyone to enjoy.
I don't post on here often anymore, but I have to say, #Furality Somna invoked feelings I haven't felt since the days of Chouchou in Second Life, just something about the ambience and the aesthetic, it put me completely at ease, even despite my immense social anxiety.
@Rattapoom_K This makes me excited for LANCER. It's gonna be really interesting seeing how you model more surreal designs like the Hydra.
Also Blackbeard, because "yarr harr fiddle dee dee, if I win the grapple you're coming with me"
@Firr This is really fucking cool, Firr. Gets around the uncanny nature of most front-facing robotics, and is something the kids will actually like interacting with.
It's like it was actually designed to be friendly while providing a support role, instead of "Lets make Terminators"
@Incinda_@Rattapoom_K@Lancer_RPG But yeah, I get what'cha mean, might be some unintended jank for using maps from different franchises.
On the multi-hex argument, I /think/ we may be seeing some multi-hex Battletech models in the months to come, I think the Ares was advertised as one, the Union Dropship is.
@Incinda_@Rattapoom_K@Lancer_RPG Counterpoint; there are flat maps that are bereft of elevation changes or obstructions, You can also consider the Alpha Strike playmats that don't have any obstructions whatsoever.
@Rattapoom_K@Incinda_@Lancer_RPG As a bonus, if you use Battletech scale (28mm hex base) you'll also be able to double dip into the Battletech franchise and use Catalyst Game Labs maps for campaigns, and HEXTECH for scene dressing.
Which would be a really cool way to support both LANCER and Battletech.
@sgt_vee What usually ends up happening is if you accept, there's one of two ways it goes; they try to harvest your debit card information via a phishing website, or direct you to either PayPal itself or some PayPal-esque website and 'ghost' you after receiving payment.
@sgt_vee I've been following this trend almost exclusively on Discord (though it has recently cropped up in FurAffinity notes), it's always the same formula; they hit you up for small talk then "offer" you a commission.
It's a scam, do not acknowledge, report and move on.
@C_Yukimaru The Luddic Church would absolutely be hostile though, highly belligerent because of the active use of technology.
Even your toaster ovens would be 'arcane' to them and hence, apocryphal in their eyes.
I'd imagine a Crusader fleet or two swinging by the UAF every so often.
@C_Yukimaru I would be interested in seeing how the UAF handles relations with the Tri-Tachyon, considering they basically start out as a "sustainable war", hosting raids and whatnot to see if you can compete or if you will 'bend the knee' and seek a deal with them.
@notch It's so much of a feature that HG actually /enhanced/ it by implementing a Jet Boot module that lets you do super-powered jumps.
Combo for maximum distance.
It's balanced by the fact you still need a way to break the fall or you're gonna diiiie~
