@Rwanda_Edu, in partnership with @ADEAnet, has launched a nationwide initiative to strengthen the capacity of over 8,600 school leaders and district teams to collect, manage and use quality education data for smarter decision-making.
With support from Laterite Rwanda, trainers will equip schools across all districts with skills in data quality, analysis and dashboards ensuring that every register, exam report and inspection finding guides meaningful improvements in teaching and learning.

Minister @JoNsengimana is participating in the inaugural Day of AI Global Summit, taking place from 18–19 November 2025 in Dubai, UAE.
The Summit brings together global leaders, educators, and policymakers to showcase real-world case studies, strengthen cross-border collaboration, and advance critical dialogue on how to empower students from all backgrounds to become responsible and capable users of artificial intelligence — and to promote a more inclusive, equitable approach to AI education.
Speaking at the ongoing Future of Education & Work in Africa (FEWA) AI Summit, held alongside MWC Kigali 2025, Minister @JoNsengimana highlighed that Artificial Intelligence can empower teachers to teach better, students to learn faster, and governments to make smarter education investments.
He emphasized that AI is not a threat to Africa’s workforce, but rather a catalyst for learning, innovation, and inclusion.
Guided by Vision 2050 and the National Strategy for Transformation, Rwanda’s approach to building an AI-ready education ecosystem is anchored on three pillars:
· Readiness — empowering teachers through AI literacy and digital tools.
· Relevance — aligning education with future skills and innovation.
· Reach — ensuring inclusive and connected schools for all learners.
Minister Nsengimana called on partners to “turn pilots into policies and innovation into impact,” reaffirming Rwanda’s commitment to building an equitable, ethical, and future-ready education system for the AI era.
Today, marks the 11th Graduation Ceremony of the @Uni_Rwanda, held at Huye campus Stadium.
The event brings together 9,526 graduates from 7 Colleges, the Prime Minister joins, the Minister of Education, local leaders, and proud parents celebrating their children’s success.

Today at GS Musave, Gasabo District, different education officials together with Soma Rwanda partners, and the community gathered to mark International Literacy Day & the launch of National Literacy Month 2025 under the theme: “Promoting Literacy in the Digital Era.”

Today, the Permanent Secretary, @Karakye_Charles , joined the National Sharing & Learning Event on Remedial Learning, organized by @SosRwanda , SOS Denmark and @HempelFound.
He underlined the importance of collaboration and the critical role of remedial learning in ensuring equal opportunities for all learners.
He stated:
“Your presence here reflects our collective resolve: that every child in Rwanda—regardless of background or circumstance—must have the chance to learn, succeed, and thrive.
Remedial learning is one of the most effective ways to close this gap. It not only helps children catch up academically but also builds the confidence to remain in school and nurtures the hope to pursue their dreams.”

Minister @JoNsengimana , joined regional counterparts in Kampala for the first EAC Ministerial Conference on Higher Education Area that took place on September 9-11. Discussions centred on harmonisation of academic standards, policies & talent mobility.
The next conference will be hosted in Rwanda in 2027.

Minister @JoNsengimana met with Janti Soeripto, CEO of Save the Children US, to discuss continued collaboration in advancing Rwanda’s education goals.
The meeting focused on the Zero Out-of-School Children project, implemented in partnership with MINEDUC and the Education Above All Foundation, the Qatar Fund for Development. This five-year program aims to enroll and retain more than 177,000 out-of-school children in primary school by 2027.
