A young man has cried out for help, claiming that his life has taken a troubling turn since he visited Ijebu-Ode to collect a so-called “Yahoo soap.”

In his account, the man said he obtained the soap from a person identified as Baba Lusabi in Ijebu and began experiencing unusual behaviour whenever he bathed with it, including aggression, restlessness and thoughts of taking his own life.

“Ever since I went to Ijebu to collect soap, I don’t understand my life any longer. Anytime I have my bath with that soap, I become so aggressive and restless. Sometimes, I’ll even feel like taking my own life,” he said.

He added that he had sought the soap in the hope of making money but now feels that the experience is putting his life at risk.

“I don’t understand the work of the soap. It’s money I’m looking for, but it’s pushing me to de@th,” he lamented.

Lagos Car Dealer Accuses Police of Releasing Suspect Who Drove Off With ₦130m Toyota Tundra, Cr@shed It, Leaving Him With ₦40m Loss

A Lagos car dealer, Chima Edmund, has accused the Lagos State Police Command of releasing a man suspected of driving away a 2025 Toyota Tundra worth about ₦130m from his showroom in Victoria Garden City (VGC), Lekki, and cr@shing it into a canal in Ajiran.

Edmund, founder of Mayor and Sheiks Autos, told PUNCH Metro that the suspect posed as a prospective buyer on Monday, October 12, before allegedly driving off with the vehicle and damaging it during his escape.

“On Monday, the guy came to my outlet around 4pm. He met my junior staff and came in with a bag as a customer. He asked for the 2025 Toyota Tundra pickup, which costs around N130m, and demanded the key to check it,” he said.

“He dropped his bag inside it, and the staff watched him start the engine, thinking he only wanted to check it. But the man engaged the gear and drove off.”

The dealer said the suspect allegedly drove through parts of Ajah before crashing the pickup into a canal in Ajiran. He added that he paid for the vehicle’s repairs, damage to a barricade, medical treatment for inj¥red people and the suspect’s treatment.

Edmund, who estimated the vehicle’s repair cost at ₦40m, alleged that he was pressured to withdraw the case after investigators discovered that the suspect had a psychi@tric condition.

“I am already suspecting foul play in the police dealings because I was hurried to close the case when the man was confirmed to be a psychi@tric patient. Just yesterday evening, he had been released on bail,” he said.

However, Lagos police spokesperson SP Abimbola Adebisi denied that the suspect was improperly released, claiming that Edmund withdrew the complaint after the suspect’s medical condition emerged.

“The suspect is a psychi@tric case, certified by recognised government hospitals and competent courts,” she said.

“All these were well known by the complainant in the course of our investigation. This prompted him to submit a withdrawal letter, whereupon the suspect was handed over to his mother for rehabilitation.”

Motara is trending because again, twitter is dragging the influencer over the disturbing 2020 beggar video. It landed her a BBC interview.

Actually, that video went viral in 2020 when she, Motara casually posted how her mom used to hawk while raise her, and now life is better.

As she posted this on twitter, people who had her contact on WhatsApp, used the video to attack her.

Apparently, Motara first posted the video on her WhatsApp for cruise, but her friends advised her to delete it because it was offensive. Unfortunately, some people already saved it.

So when she came on twitter do the thanks giving of her mom, they quoted her with the video. Then it went viral.

In the video Motara Lawrence was taunting a street beggar with a chilled energy drink through her car windows, as she moved in traffic, the kid followed her car and she continued the tease.

Seeing how heavily social media criticized it, she instantly apologized again on Twitter, after the apology she made on WhatsApp.

The dragging was intense it literally affected her mental health, and cost her some opportunities. It even landed her an interview with BBC.

In her apology she explained that she was just playing with the girl and she wasn’t laughing at her. Instead, a lady in the background.

That, she didn’t expect the girl to follow her after the traffic moved, but after the video ended, she gave the girl money.

Seeing that her apology wasn’t enough, because people insisted she did it for the clout. And this was because, this was the period fearless energy drink was doing promotions.

So… she actually went back to look for the girl to beg her, but alas the girl was no where to be found.

Fast forward to 2025, Motara casually made another post asking tweeps to share the experience of classism. As expected, the unfortunate video resurfaced.

Again, she apologized. This time, more people are on her side, unlike the first three to five times twitter have dragged her for the November 2020 incident.

Many argue that, her apology wasn’t genuine, and even if it were, they do not accept it. Even during her wedding with Lawrence, the video was brought up.

Motara has now relocated to UK., yet the nightmares of 2020 persists, without visa. It’s a classic case of “We forgive, but we will never forget.”
