For too long, less healthy food and drink has dominated spotlight. Maintaining a healthy weight reduces likelihood of developing cancers associated with overweight & obesity later in life.

1/ Last week, we gathered outside Parliament to urge MPs to support legislation to raise the age of sale of tobacco, through the Tobacco and Vapes Bill in its Second Reading tomorrow.

By supporting this Bill in its passage through Parliament, MPs could help create the first smokefree generation in the UK, and help end cancers caused by smoking🚭

A #GeneralElection has been announced 🚨

The Tobacco and Vapes Bill is one of the most significant public health interventions in living memory. We're calling on all parties to ensure this world-leading Bill is passed through before this Parliament ends.

Smoking causes around 150 cases of cancer every day and places huge pressure on @NHSuk.

Saving lives must transcend politics, and nothing would have a bigger impact on reducing the number of preventable deaths than ending smoking.
