A new court filing today in the federal bribery and corruption case involving former Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao says some sensitive documents are about to be unsealed, while “sensitive recordings of uncharged politicians” will remain confidential. The court documents say the sensitive material includes videos of “several people engaging in drinking and dancing of a sexual nature”, and another “video of four people engaging in a vivid description of sexual activity.” Prosecutors in the case allege that co-defendant Andy Duong took videos of politicians in compromising positions to use as leverage. The trial is set to begin October 13th.
