@Kramer1102 I think sleep is often overlooked when taking into account for how you are feeling. So many issues can be linked back to a lack of sleep. To function properly, your body NEEDS to sleep.
@VinhDong3 Although I agree that maybe something can be done by the professors to lessen the stress that students experience, is it really the professors place to do so? I don't imagine that professors have the intent to stress us, they just provide the workload they believe is best.
@tbills1102 What are the current steps to diagnose a patient and treat them accordingly? That's the issue, I think, with mental illness - the fact that it is so hard to diagnose because they're "invisible" diseases.
@RobbyB17616657 Does Bi-Polar disorder have a 'grey' area? I always see it represented as two halves, a dark and light, but what happens in the middle?
@MaddieMac1102 Many people believe that institutionalizing people with mental illness would be best, if implemented properly. Maybe explore the idea of better state-run or private-run mental health care institutions
@DasSrujani I think the aspect of satire as a call to action is one of the most powerful forms. You're able to entertain as well as send a message. Sadly, I think that much of the time it is focused on the entertain without a unifying impact statement
@Hfallon31 While doing my own research, I found the same. Pride and not wanting to burden other people with your problems are main factors in why people with mental health issues don't seek help, so self-help options are the main avenue of help that they reach for #gtcomics
@MaddieMac1102 An issue with this, specifically with counselors and the likes, is that there are patient-physician laws that bar the sharing of session information with anyone other than the patient without direct consent of the patient #gtcomics
@MaddieMac1102 I like this a lot. Much of the time people are given a quick fix and then rely upon that for the rest of their life, when for some mental health disorders, yes, there is a quick fix, but it doesn't hold for the long term #gtcomics
15. There must be better understanding and a greater awareness of Codependence in the general public, but more importantly those suffering, the โenablers,โ and those in the immediate sphere of influence of the sufferer so that we can reduce the number of codependents #gtcomics
1. Unlike Depression, PTSD, Bi-Polar Disorder, etc., Codependency has lost its mainstream correct interpretation. There needs to be awareness raised and a better working definition in order to help combat this debilitating mental health issue #gtcomics
14. Authors, such as Melody Beattie, have been making strides in the treatment of Codependence by making self-help books to help the sufferers of Codependence to become aware of their situations and help make the necessary relationship changes #gtcomics
