URGENT HELP MYANMAR

🚨 URGENT APPEAL FOR BURMA 🚨
A catastrophic 7.7-magnitude earthquake has struck Burma(Myanmar), leaving behind a trail of devastation. Entire communities are shattered. Families are grieving. Homes have turned to rubble.
Millions are in urgent need of help.
Here’s what’s desperately needed:
🚑 Life-saving search & rescue teams
🏥 Emergency medical care for the injured
🏕️ Safe shelter for families left homeless
💧 Clean water, food & basic sanitation
⚡ Restoration of lifesaving essential services
But this aid must reach the people directly—not through the military junta. We urge the international community: deliver support through independent, local networks to ensure real help reaches real people, fast.
Every second counts.
Please share. Please pray for Burma. Please act.
Lives—millions of them—depend on it. 💔🙏

I chose this remarkable Jim McNallis sculpture as the centerpiece of my calendar artwork for Maymay’s 80th birthday,
As Maymay said: "Musicians & artists can make a tremendous impact on the general public, drawing attention to our cause ."
For Her, We can!

JOB OPPORTUNITY: Biological Technician: Marine Biologist (Smithsonian Environmental Research Center)
https://t.co/mF7O3BRpsK
The Smithsonian’s Marine Global Earth Observatory (MarineGEO) program seeks to support field research and data projects. MarineGEO is a global network of partner sites, based at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center in Edgewater, Maryland, that coordinates standardized observations and experiments across the network to understand how coastal ecosystems work—and inform actions to keep them working. The technician manages field, laboratory, and data activities in coordination with the MarineGEO Central team. MarineGEO field and data activities are focused on the benthic ecology of core nearshore habitats including coral reefs, oyster reefs, submerged aquatic vegetation, and fouling communities.

How to Write a Research Proposal: A Guide for PhD Students
Are you working on your research proposal but feeling overwhelmed by its complexity? This visual guide simplifies the process, breaking it down into clear and structured components.
From identifying why your research matters to explaining how you’ll conduct it, and addressing who and when it will impact, this image highlights every essential step for crafting a compelling research proposal:
✔️ Introduction: Define your research context, problem statement, and rationale.
✔️ Literature Review: Highlight research gaps and existing knowledge.
✔️ Research Problem & Questions: Specify the core issue and feasibility.
✔️ Methodology: Outline your research design, tools, and data collection methods.
✔️ Ethics & Outcomes: Show your focus on ethical research and anticipated findings.
8 Types of Research Gaps.
Identifying research gap is very challenging especially for early PhD students.
Before identifying research gap, it is important to understand the various types of research gaps.
In the figure below, I explain in simple terms the various types of research gaps.
