Almost media blackout in #Yemen these days, news I receive from friends in #Sanaa: afraid to leave house, daily bombardment by #Saudi and #UAE coalition killing and injuring Yemeni citizens. Yemeni friend is lying in hospital now recovering but lost uncle and his entire family!
PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE. Get #Yemen trending! It's a hell on earth right now. Innocent civilians are bombarded in cold blood, while the internet is down. I don't know what to say else. At least 300 people were killed or wounded over the past 24 hours. I am running out of words...
HRW: Israeli authorities are accelerating home demolitions and forced evictions of Palestinian residents in the Silwan district of occupied East Jerusalem. Over 2,000 people are at risk of forced displacement https://t.co/pNNBa1OVKU
Just kind of left speechless at an invading army whining to the United Nations that the people they are invading — and killing their civilians by the thousands — are fighting back. This is a mystifying level of lack of self awareness
In just two months, Israeli attacks in Lebanon have killed at least 3468 people, including:
244 children
128 medical workers
333 women
Israel attacks have also damaged at least 17 hospitals.
The lesson Israel has learned, time and again, is that it can commit genocide and other atrocities with near-total impunity.
Now it's exporting the Gaza playbook to Lebanon.
Israel's war in Lebanon is killing thousands and displacing over a million.
NO MORE U.S. AID TO ISRAEL.
BREAKING! US court ha suspended the US sanctions against me!
As the judge says: "Protecting the Freedom of speech is always just the public interest".
Thanks to my daughter and my husband for stepping up to defend me, and everyone who has helped so far.
Together we are One.
10 years ago today, the UN Security Council adopted Resolution 2286. Over 80 Member States committed to protect medical humanitarian work. Yet @MSF is sharing the same message from 2016:
🔴 Stop bombing hospitals.
🔴 Stop bombing health workers.
🔴 Stop bombing patients.
UPDATE
The Israeli court approved the extension of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya’s detention, without charges.
The request for his immediate release was denied, despite the unlawful nature of his detention while carrying out his medical duties.
He is held in Negev Prison in harsh conditions, without access to medication or medical care, as his health continues to deteriorate.
We demand the immediate release of Dr. Abu Safiya along with 13 other detained doctors, as well as all medical personnel currently held in Israel. We call on the international community to intervene and put an end to this abuse.
Israel carried out a “triple tap,” killing three medical workers and wounding six, outside of Nabatieh today.
Paramedics were trying to rescue wounded from an airstrike, when they were struck. Another ambulance came to rescue the medical workers and was struck. A third rescue attempt was made, and that ambulance was struck too. A paramedic remains missing.
Israel has killed over 90 healthcare workers in Lebanon in about six weeks.
Pictured: One of the slain medical workers, Fadel Sarhan.
The NYT has verified damage to 22 schools and 17 health care facilities in Iran. The Iranian Red Crescent Society said at least 763 schools and 316 health care facilities had been damaged or destroyed in the war as of April 2. https://t.co/tERlA1ZcrC
Israeli bombs that the United States paid for.
It is unconscionable we continue to provide aid to Israel as they continue to murder civilians and violate international law in Lebanon, Gaza, and the West Bank.
No more money to Israel’s genocidal apartheid regime.
Smotrich: “Political Paths Will Expand Our Borders”
Israel’s Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said during a settlement inauguration in the West Bank that Israel will pursue “decisive political paths” to expand its borders.
He stated:
-In Gaza: a path that will expand Israel’s borders
-In Lebanon: expansion up to the Litani River
-In Syria: including Mount Hermon and the buffer zone
He added: “There will be decisive political paths in the north, south, and east.”
The Lebanese army just announced that they have evacuated the Qasimieh bridge, after receiving an Israeli threat to bomb it.
The bridge is a lifeline for over 150,000 people still living south of the litani river, who depend on it to access food, medicine & aid.
Catastrophic.
Israel is now openly claiming it is justified in killing journalists because the reporters may expose the positions of Israeli forces.
That is a radical and stark break from the norms of warfare and truly must be stopped.
Alarming! #Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) in Tehran, founded in 1929, was struck in an Israeli attack at 2:30 a.m. (local). Under international humanitarian law, universities are civilian objects & must not be targeted. Dangerous trend
