I’m honored to have performed tonight, for the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony, and so full of joy to be back in one of my very favorite cities! Most of all, I’m so happy to be celebrating these amazing athletes, with all their stories of sacrifice and determination, pain and perseverance. All of you have been so focused on your dream, and whether or not you take home a medal, I hope that being here means that it has come true for you! You should all be so proud, we know how hard you have worked to be the best of the best. Stay focused, keep going, my heart is with you! - Celine xx…

@BenHundeyin Sir, do you remember that primary school game?:
"I call ooon...", then you'll start running to avoid being caught. That's what actually happened. 😂
Just before I traveled to America, I called my dad and gave him my only car. he had sold his taxi 13 years ago so I could pay for my WAEC and JAMB examination fees. The joy on his face brought tears- it was the least I could do for my parents who sacrificed everything so I could get an Education.
It wasn’t clear how I was going to get a new car without spending a fortune but i had faith.
Yesterday, I got a call from @OluwatobiAjayiJ, the CEO of @nordmotion, inviting me to his office for a chat and a chess match. During our conversation, he proposed an outrageous deal: if I could beat him, I could choose any car in their showroom for free. Knowing he was a strong chess player from our previous game analyses(Although we had never played before), I accepted the challenge. After about an hour of intense play, I managed to win from a very complex position.
This all still feels surreal, but I'm thrilled to announce that I am now a global brand ambassador for @nordmotion motors and the proud owner of a NORD A7 suv built and assembled in Nigeria.
Life really isn’t scripted, and I’m super grateful to be able to use my gift to inspire the world and affect lives positively. This has inadvertently brought a lot of goodness my way too and this love is one I’ll never take for granted.
@HenshawKate What they actually fancy in the Old Anthem is the 'hailing system' and not mindful of the other lyrics, which arguably doesn't promote the Nation's Pride.
A teenager in my church does crochet. She approached me to invest 5,000 ₦ in her business with a return of N100 every Sunday for the next 6 months after which the capital will be returned to me.
A good offer?
Here’s the Full Gist…Very Interesting!
So, today, Episode 3 of the blockbuster movie “The Struggle for the Soul of Kano Emirate” premiered -in Kano and Abuja.
The movie features two political gladiators - Current Governor, Abba Yusuf and his the Former Gov, Umar Ganduje.
But before we delve deeper, let’s establish the background to the story….
Recall, on the 23rd, Gov Abba Yusuf instructed his loyalists at the Kano state House of Assembly to nullify the law that Ganduje used to remove Emir Sanusi and divide his Emirate into 5, in 2020. Ganduje replaced Emir Sanusi ll with Emir Ado Bayero.
The House of Assembly members (abi puppets) did as instructed. They passed a new law that removed Emir Bayero, reinstated Emir Sanusi, and shut down the other 4 Emirates.
While his dethronement was going on, Emir Bayero was in Ogun state for an official visit - more like the the same drama that happened in July, 1975 when Murtala Muhammed overthrew Gowon while he was attending OAU summit in Kampala.
But from Ogun state, Emir Ado Bayero was actively playing the game. With Ganduje’s influence, he quickly approached the Federal High Court in Kano. And they “arranged” one judgement that ordered Gov Abba Yusuf and his govt not to enforce the new Emirate Council Law.
The Devil is in the Details….here’s the hidden truth about this story…
So, on June 8, 2014, Emir Sanusi ll became the Emir of Kano - after Jonathan “suspended” him from the CBN. Al-Haji Ado Bayero had d!ed and he was considered a worthy heir to the revered throne.
The governor of Kano at that time was Kwankwaso. He was a strong ally of Sanusi. Sanusi fell out with President Goodluck Jonathan and fought against his second term bid. Kwankwaso and other northern PDP chieftains were very vocal and audaciously worked against Jonathan too.
So, Kwankwaso and Sanusi shared the same political views and ideologies hence, they were tied to the same “political movement” - it was easy to make Sanusi the Emir.
Rwandan President @PaulKagame says Rwanda is now visa-free for all Africans:
"Any African can get on a plane to Rwanda whenever they wish and will not pay a thing to enter our country."
Following some emotional and thought provoking words by Pastor Leke Adeboye...
Pastor Adeboye (Daddy GO) gives some Good News, "I am not going anywhere yet, and you don't have anything to worry about because where I stop is where you will begin". So relieving and reassuring.
It's so valid and profound,
