Meanwhile, under-35 households went from 21% of average wealth to just 16%.

@IshmailSaboor We risk losing a generation of early career investigators. The review process is inefficient and too lengthy. Demystify and simplify the process, connect groups with similar proposals, etc.
I found it striking as I teach neurobiology to undergrads and we cover seminal work - that many of the pioneering scientists whose work shapes fields, cannot get NIH funding. 100% triaged/ND, I've heard countless times from many of these pioneers. I'm open to reform of NIH.
Germany tried this. It is a disaster. Pushes ppl out of research. The positions they are supposed to transition into don't exist. I can't keep my research team here because of arbitrary contract limits like this. Tragic and demoralizing for all of us. #WissZeitVG#IchbinHanna
