"The more seriously you look, the more convinced you become of its reality, but the more elusive its origin, nature and intention become".
My dad Mark wrote that, and I keep coming back to it. It catches the strange pull of this subject better than anything I could say myself.
Part 1 of his three-part series is live now, a clear-eyed, curious, deeply human look at something most people are trained to laugh off. And that laugh, he argues, is part of the story too:

Thank you for finally writing this one down Oak! The "intellectual permission" framing especially landed for me, that quiet scan for the joke or the X-Files music telling you it's safe to keep rolling your eyes, and the vertigo when it isn't there. You named something a lot of us felt but couldn't articulate. And the point about the stigma being manufactured is the part I keep coming back to. You don't build a taboo that strong around something that isn't worth taking seriously.
The piece I'd add is that existing experiencers function like a breakwater. The waves aren't going to stop, the swell only builds from here, but those of us who came through our activation earlier take the first and hardest impact so that by the time a wave reaches someone just waking up, the water is survivable rather than something that pulls them under. We're not holding back the ocean, just standing between it and the shore long enough for the next people to find their footing. Thank you again for putting this into words.
@MazeToMetanoia I found myself in a situation supporting a large group of experiencer women across multiple communities that all dealt with the same phenomenon & when I tried to raise the alarm on their behalf on the field, all of those women were dismissed as crazy & hysterical & I was shutdown
Watching a bold lecture about astronomy and evidence for intelligent life in the universe—and nearby. It takes a real scientist to actually look at the data and analyze it despite the push-back from “the establishment” that doesn’t want their pet-theories proven wrong. THANK YOU Dr. Villarroel for your courage and pursuit of truth! @DrBeaVillarroel
The White House launched a website calling immigrants “aliens” who “do not belong here”. I am a nurse who has cared for the people they want you to fear. Here is what I have to say about that…

Steven Spielberg says UFO Disclosure will "dislocate society" and cause humans to question religions
“If the unknown is known by a very few but not everybody, the inequity of that is what first got me to sit down and start writing the story.
The consequences of a real full disclosure is going to have to take into consideration the social dislocation the essentially you know the trauma and all the theological questions that are going to come up.”
"The experiencer isn't a witness to the phenomenon. They're the site of it."
New essay on the Disclosure Day trailer, what Spielberg might be getting right, and what it would mean for experiencers if he did.
