I wrote my capstone thesis at Berkeley on internet vigilantism. One of the basic takeaways was that these efforts, such as those from Anonymous, really only show up when the law or justice system is allowing egregious harm to come to people. Vigilantism is essentially a marker of our values and does not arise when the justice system actually works.
English doesn’t have a plural version for “you”
So it makes sense that ppl from other countries who are used to using plural form for you would gravitate towards “yall”
I don’t like arguing with men because they usually don’t have anything of value to add to a conversation. They just enjoy rage beating you to siphon your energy.
Wikipedia has been doing some really awesome social media posts. They've been hiring artists & animators to talk about random Wikipedia articles or explain how it works.
They could have just hired influencers, or made text posts. But this feels much more grassroots. I love it
