$ABAT
I would love to see @abt_company DFS take a phased approach to mine construction. If they secure the @EximBankUS loan, that could cover Phase 1. Revenue from Phase 1 covers Phase 2 and contributes to loan repayment. Improves NPV.
Look at @CenturyLithium phased approach.
Many thanks to Supply Chain Queen® Sheri Hinish for hosting ABTC CEO Ryan Melsert on the Supply Chain Revolution podcast, and supported by Pxyera Global and the Circular Supply Chain Coalition.
Ryan joined fellow panelists CSCC's Anita Schwartz and Cummins' Rafael Vasquez Lombardo to discuss the trust, validation, and collaboration required to build resilient, closed-loop supply chains and strengthen domestic critical mineral production.
Recycling alone isn't enough to meet the surging demand for critical minerals. As Ryan shared, "If the amount of batteries in the field was fixed, recycling could cover it. But demand is growing so fast that we also need new sources to fill the loop."
To help close that gap, we operate a commercial battery recycling facility that returns approximately 1,000 tons of critical minerals to the market each month, and working to build a second recycling plant scaled 5X's. We're also developing a 30,000-ton-per-year lithium refinery in Nevada to further advance a secure and sustainable domestic battery supply chain.
