I want to begin with a single moment that captures how lrish mortgage holders have been treated.

In 2014 the then Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan, was asked about vulture funds. He said that calling them vultures was actually "a
compliment" because vultures "provide a very good service in the ecology through cleaning up dead animals that are littered across the landscape."

Today, borrowers whose loans have been sold, deal with names like Mars Capital, Pepper Finance and Link Asset Services They present themselves as lenders. They are not They present themselves as decision makers. They are not They are shopfronts.
Mars, Pepper, Link etc. are all just puppets.

Behind them sit the puppet masters -International investment funds and securitisation vehicles - #Appollo, #Cerberus, #Lonestar, #GoldmanSachs, #PIMCO, #Blackstone...I could go on. These are the entities that should be invited to appear before this Committee, but as cowards they will not accept.
