@JohnMar98888097@EricCMeadows@farmingandJesus@BasedMikeLee and then Matthew 3:16–17 and Acts 7:55–56 are pretty clear visual distinctions. There are are many others.
In addition, as I believe Joseph Smith's accounting of his vision of God the Father and Jesus Christ as two distinct individuals, that compounds onto my biblical views.
@JohnMar98888097@EricCMeadows@farmingandJesus@BasedMikeLee Biblically, many times when Christ speaks to the Father or expresses a distinction in will very strongly suggest to me a distinct individual and corporal difference. John 17:1–5 and John 6:38 are both quite stark to me. Mark 13:32 and Luke 22:42 speaking of their will.
@FormallyDennis@FiredUpCoug@osas4eva You don't understand the context in which the phrase "after all we can do" was spoken - by and to whom. We labor, teach, believe, repent, keep covenant, and turn ourselves toward God; but when all is said and done, none of that saves us. We are saved by the grace of Jesus Christ.
@JohnMar98888097@EricCMeadows@farmingandJesus@BasedMikeLee Maybe we are talking past each other - my bad. I believe that the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are two completely separate beings - not consubstantial in any way. Singular in purpose, yes. Not one divine presence as the concept of the Trinity is typically believed.
@JohnMar98888097@EricCMeadows@farmingandJesus@BasedMikeLee It's not supported by scripture or modern revelation (which I believe in, so that informs my own personal beliefs). I'd say the Bible alone shows almost certainly that it is incorrect. There are so many instances of Christ speaking to and of the Father in clear separation.
@Techtonicus1@RossDellenger@YahooSports Tech could do the right thing and suspend him for the season. They won't, but they should. The rules are SO clear, and he so CLEARLY broke them. Admitted to it. This is not about finding the truth. It's dealing with results of that in the correct way. TTU stands alone in this.
@JohnMar98888097@EricCMeadows@farmingandJesus@BasedMikeLee The Nicene Creed is false. It's not supported by the Bible nor is it inspired. Its caused many sects to declare that those who don't believe it to be heretics and destined to Hell.
