@AimeeTRES A2: I think giving them the opposite of "stinkin thinkin" eliminates negativity. For ex: when some of my friends doesn't want to clean I point out how helpful they are and how they are really good at putting things back where they go. Then they want to help. #TRESbesthope

@AimeeTRES One way I show my students that I believe in them is by giving them goals to work for and having them choose how they will be rewarded once they reach that goal. And then I find every opportunity I can to help them reach it. #TRESbesthope

@AimeeTRES A3: I try to highlight positivity as much as possible. My kids always ask "are we having a good day?" And I rephrase the question to become "are we having a good listening day?" I praise my kids that do but I really praise all my kids that TRY #TRESbesthope

@AimeeTRES A2: Right now the only thing that comes to mind (for some reason) is eating habits. Quite a few of my students bring in snacks that could be healthier. I try to exhibit healthier eating habits for me but also for them. #TRESbesthope

@LauraDavisla @AimeeTRES I agree! I can understand (and witness) how for some students it's easier to piggyback off the teacher's idea instead of using their own. It makes me a little sad. I encourage my kids to use their "voice" instead of mine but a lot of times it's tricky for them #TRESbesthope
