Man this was a fun post:
Area 51 Mystery Aircraft Prompts Interest In “Christmas Tree” Stealth Fighter Concept
The exotic jet spotted near Area 51 that appears to be tied to the F-47 has prompted a look at an obscure fighter design from the 1980s.

So while everyone waits for the video of the A51 mystery plane, what did I write in March of last year?
"There are aspects of the artwork that call to mind the work of the late Alan Wiechman, who joined McDonnell Douglas... in the mid-1980s and headed the company’s stealth work until his retirement in 2014. His work included the X-36 tailless prototype... His obituary in 2023 noted that he had ‘most recently’ been an adviser on stealth to the USAF Rapid Capabilities Office."

Boeing Wins U.S. Air Force's NGAD F-47 Fighter Contract, a replacement for F-22 (although its specs are vague for now).
Boeing was very invested on this competition, prototypes have already flown (preliminary X- ones most probably)

The biggest issue in car design is a lack of boldness. Designers (or rather, their directors) are afraid to use empty space.
The first cool production Audi since forever, spoiled by a fake hitlerstache grill, it deserved a much better front end

A sticker could probably prevent these very costly incidents (and avoid risking lives). I made one in two minutes (left/right versions, see below🙃).

The Hidden History of America’s Harrier Jump Jets
The Harrier story is a transatlantic saga of improvisation, ambition, and unlikely partnership, which helped shape the F-35B.

#NGAD F-47 render *very* similar to the official images found on Collins Aerospace website. maybe it is just speculation, or it can be hiding in plain sight (!)
You can see it moving (slightly) here:

F-47 has canards in both official (artistic) renders. This configuration is not less stealthy than a regular aircraft with a conventional empennage, as long as its geometry has a similar treatment. A great example is X-36 (by MDD/Boeing), a tail-less canard stealth aircraft
Introducing RX-1, our experimental European robotics platform. Every step the quadruped takes is a step toward Europe’s technological sovereignty. We make it available to academic labs across Europe.

very good news from blue origin a ~6 months delay is profanely the best case scenario that anyone works have expected from this explosion. There will also be valuable lessons to learn there for sure
Some LC-36 updates. Now that we’ve had access to the pad and integration facility we can share a bit of good news. The propellant farm, oxygen, liquid hydrogen and LNG tanks are all in good shape. This is good luck because these are very long lead items. The water tower is also good. The big support tower is damaged, but it can be repaired in place rather than torn down and replaced. The booster “Never Tell Me The Odds” and the three GS-2s that were onsite in the integration facility also look good.
I’ve seen some speculation that we might move directly to the 9x4 configuration, but we won’t do that. Rate manufacturing of 7x2 is going well, and we’re going to continue that at pace as planned and store the stages for use. In addition, we had already been working for some time on eliminating our transporter-erector in favor of an alternative vertical conop, and we’ll now go directly to that; so we don’t need a new transporter-erector.
We will fly again before the end of this year. Gradatim Ferociter.
One of the most surreal and ingenious attacks took place a year ago, Operation Spiderweb destroyed ~15 Russian Tu-95 and Tu-22M bombers (and more) with small remotely piloted FPVs that were transferred there by unsuspected Russian truck drivers

@sniffpetrol It's main problem (maybe it's only problem) is packaging, it is too tall and too big. This is not because of the design but because of Ferrari's mechanical arrangement. The front overhang is actually even bigger than it looks considering that the front wheels are 23" (!)
Here's our video of the explosion at Launch Complex 36. It happened about 9 pm ET (0100 UTC) as Blue Origin was beginning a static fire test of its New Glenn rocket.

Gripen will finally fulfill its purpose, shoot down russian jets. If the timeline and procurement plan materialise it will be a new era for Ukraine and Sweden, great timing now that the next generation of European fighter jets is in flux

@bytparanoiczny The interior is phenomenal, it uses touchscreens but they augment the tactile experience instead of replacing it. I'm very curious to see it up close and my guess is that the few people that actually buy it will love using it. I hope this design approach becomes a trend
Luce’s problem is not its distance from “regular” Ferraris, but that it isn’t bold enough. Jony Ive and Marc Newson should have gone completely wild with it and still be a Ferrari.
It should have made Modulo look conventional (it won’t sell anyway, there’s no risk)
