@jdflynn@FrHarrison@dlongenecker1 When I was a kid, probably 3rd or 4th grade, our grumpy priest very sharply told me to raise my hands higher when I was in the communion line. It didn’t make me leave the church, but it absolutely crushed me. I felt like I had wronged Jesus himself. It ate at me for a long time.
@SooperMexican With AI everyone has capacity to make realistic pictures of stuff like dogs playing poker and we do. In the past we all wanted to but didn’t have the skill/tools until one glorious bastard wasted his talent and painted that so we could all live vicariously.
I was looking to be confirmed and I called around for RCIA classes and only one church got back to me and the wonderful woman on the other end told me how much I would love the parish and welcomed me over. Now I teach faith formation, work the bulletin and love my church family.
This is beautiful. Some of the most kind, helpful, thoughtful humans I have ever run across are teen boys. When I was expecting they were always the first to offer their seats or help with a stroller, or hold a door. Thank God the world has brave young men like this one.

Please include codifying Daylight Savings Time in the Joint Address to Congress tonight - make this weekend the last time
@kathyprojo I read the Little House series to my kids and they asked why all the baby boys died. I told them it could be something like fragile X or another genetic issue affecting only males. Phone in my pocket - next day my Facebook feed had ads for several Fragile X research studies.
